Bis(3,5-lutidine)alkyl Dications and Their Use in the Fabrication of Organic–Inorganic 2D Polypseudorotaxane by Templated Self-Assembly

A series of organic–inorganic polypseudorotaxanes based on Cu_<i>x</i>(SCN)_<i>y</i> polyanionic ring and bis­(3,5-lutidine)­alkyl dication threads are reported. This kind of interesting bis­(pyridinium)­alkyl template may facilitate the formation of 2D polypseudorotaxane. All these complexes exhibit excellent photochemical properties
