Get PDF
The paper focuses on the study of different approaches adopted for the development of sub-national level tourism satellite account which will quantify the economic magnitude of tourism at the state level. Two different approaches recommended in TSA: RMF 2008 and by Calvin Jones and others 2009 have been analyzed. Further approaches followed for compiling two State TSA’s by India is studied followed by findings and recommendations

La substitution induced linear temperature dependence of electrical resistivity and Kondo behavior in the alloys, Ce_{2-x}La_{x}CoSi_{3}

Full text link
The results of electrical resistivity, heat capacity and magnetic susceptibility behavior of new class of alloys, Ce_{2-x}La_{x}CoSi_{3}, are reported. The x= 0.0 alloy is mixed valent and La substitution for Ce (x= 0.25) induces linear temperature dependence of resistivity at low temperatures, an observation of relevance to the topic of non-Fermi liquid behavior. The modifications of Kondo effect for all the alloys are also presented.Comment: Accepted for publication in Solid State Communication

Clustering Techniques for Recommendation of Movies

A recommendation system employs a variety of algorithms to provide users with recommendations of any kind. The most well-known technique, collaborative filtering, involves users with similar preferences although it is not always as effective when dealing with large amounts of data. Improvements to this approach are required as the dataset size increases. Here, in our suggested method, we combine a hierarchical clustering methodology with a collaborative filtering algorithm for making recommendations. Additionally, the Principle Component Analysis (PCA) method is used to condense the dimensions of the data to improve the accuracy of the outcomes. The dataset will receive additional benefits from the clustering technique when using hierarchical clustering, and the PCA will help redefine the dataset by reducing its dimensionality as needed. The primary elements utilized for recommendations can be enhanced by applying the key elements of these two strategies to the conventional collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm. The suggested method will unquestionably improve the precision of the findings received from the conventional CFRA and significantly increase the effectiveness of the recommendation system. The total findings will be applied to the combined dataset of TMDB and Movie Lens, which is utilized to suggest movies to the user in accordance with the rating patterns that each individual user has generated

Magnetic and electrical resistance behaviour of the oxides, Ca3−xYxLiRuO6 (x=0.0, 0.5 and 1.0)

We have investigated the magnetic and electrical resistance behaviour of Ca3−xYxLiRuO6. The parent compound exhibits magnetic ordering of the ruthenium sublattice at a rather high temperature, 113 K. Though the paramagnetic Curie temperature (θp) is negative and indicates antiferromagnetic ordering, the large magnitude (−250 K) of θp reveals a complex nature of the magnetism in this compound. Ru ions appear to be in the pentavalent state. We note that the Néel temperature undergoes only a marginal reduction by Y substitution. All these compositions are found to be insulators and thus the electron doping does not result in metallicity. Thus the overall magnetic and transport behaviour are found to be essentially insensitive to Y substitution for Ca, a finding which may favour the idea of quasi-one-dimensional magnetism in these compounds

Objective: To investigate the antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiproliferative activities and in silico drug likeness prediction of the MHH compound.Methods: The antioxidant, antimicrobial and antiproliferative activities of the MHH compound have been evaluated by 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) and Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) assays, agar well diffusion assay and 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay respectively. The cytotoxicity activity and in silico drug likeness prediction of the MHH compound have been studied.Results: The DPPH radical scavenging activity and the total antioxidant power of the MHH compound were found to be 92.48%±2.06 and 10.698±0.23 mM Fe (II)/g respectively. The antimicrobial activity of MHH compound against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptomyces griseus, Candida albicans, Aspargillus flavus and the zones of inhibition were found to be 16.83 mm, 19.83 mm, 15.23 mm, 16.79 mm, 13.57 mm, 19.65 mm, 18.66 mm and 14.79 mm respectively. The IC50 values of the MHH compound for HeLa and HCT-15 cell lines were found to be 371.92 μg/ml and 112.06 μg/ml respectively. The LC50 value of MHH compound was 218.765µg/ml and 152.78µg/ml which is considered as moderately cytotoxic and toxic respectively when incubated at 24 h and 48 h. The drug likeness and bioactivity scores of the MHH compound were found to be within the range and followed Lipinski's rule.Conclusion: This study concludes that the MHH compound has significant biological activities and can be used as the therapeutic agent.Â

This study represents a systematic attempt to explore the knowledge of the native people about plants, which they use to cure diseases. And it is an attempt towards conserving the local knowledge of people to plants. This paper presents a list and uses of some medicinal plants distributed in the high altitude district Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir. The list was prepared during an ethno-botanical survey of the region from December 2007 to January, 2009. This paper provides information about 71 ethno-medicinally useful plants grown in this region. In this paper, family, botanical name, local name, ethnomedicinal uses are given for each plant

Machine Learning (ML) based forecast systems have demonstrated their significance results in detecting several diseases. ML models have for some time been utilized in numerous application regions requiring the ID and prioritization of troublesome variables for a danger. Understanding and characterizing chest x-beam (CXR) and figured tomography (CT) pictures are critical for the finding of COVID19. To resolve these issues, the CNN Vggnet19 has been utilized to analyze Corona virus in light of CXR lung pictures. Such a device can save time in deciphering chest x-beams and increment exactness and consequently work on our clinical capacity to identify and analyze COVID19. In this work, arrangement of clinical x-beam lung pictures (which incorporate typical pictures, contaminated with microorganisms, and tainted infections including COVID19) were utilized to frame a profound CNN that could make the differentiation among clamour and helpful data, then utilize this preparation to decipher new pictures by perceiving designs that show specific sicknesses, for example, Covid disease in individual pictures
