The recently developed Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) is a seven-item uni-dimensional scale that assesses the severity of fears of COVID-19. Given the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh, we aimed to translate and validate the FCV-19S in Bangla. The forward-backward translation method was used to translate the English version of the questionnaire into Bangla. The reliability and validity properties of the Bangla FCV-19S were rigorously psychometrically evaluated (utilizing both confirmatory factor analysis and Rasch analysis) in relation to socio-demographic variables, national lockdown variables, and response to the Bangla Health Patient Questionnaire. The sample comprised 8550 Bangladeshi participants. The Cronbach α value for the Bangla FCV-19S was 0.871 indicating very good internal reliability. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the uni-dimensional factor structure of the FCV-19S fitted well with the data. The FCV-19S was significantly correlated with the nine-item Bangla Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-90) (r = 0.406,

Well-nigh of the bremsstrahlung mensurations with electron cyclotron resonance ion sources have been executed in uninterrupted functioning way conceding info exclusively on the steady-state bremsstrahlung emanation. Bremsstrahlung irradiation measuring is usually utilized many nosology method acting. At intermediate to elation laser saturations preoccupation by the definitive reverse bremsstrahlung sue drop-offs chop-chop and this mechanics alone is deficient to explicate the points of immersion evaluated in recent epoch experiments. The cognitive operation of assimilation of laser free energy are rudimentary to the study of optical maser-heated atomic plasmas and have received significant care in experiments. Results and the simulations of bremsstrahlung expelling by fast electrons using numerical cross sections is described in this paper. © 2011 IEEE

As energy sources are going to be diminished, our future prognoses certainly run towards nuclear power as it is already weighed as a safe and clean alternative energy. As, tralatitious waste disposal system is hazardous, rumination about nuclear waste management, treatment and processing via adopting different physical and chemical technologies is of grave importance. Virility of nuclear waste needs to be controlled and mitigated for safe industrial purposes and fuel consumptions. In this paper, physical explanations and simulation of β transmutation by Decay Energetics has been given. © 2011 IEEE

Depression and suicidality among Bangladeshi students: subject selection reasons and learning environment as potential risk factors

Purpose: This study examined the role of subject‐selection reasons and learning environment factors in students' depression and suicidality. Design and Methods: This study surveyed 960 students from five different Bangladeshi universities using questions concerning socio‐demographics, lifestyles, subject‐selection reasons, learning and academic environment, suicidal behaviors, and the Bangla Patient Health Questionnaire. Findings: Approximately half of the participants were depressed (47.7%), and just over a quarter reported past‐year suicidality (28.5%). Risk factors for both depression and suicidal behavior included not studying at their desired institute, selecting subjects based on future career prospects (rather than choosing what they want to study), not having a study‐friendly and research‐friendly environment, and unsupportive teachers. Practical Implications: The findings will help in formulating policies for educational institutions as well as providing benchmark data for further studies
