Este documento analiza en primera instancia el origen de la ingeniería civil, sus aplicaciones en la rama de la ingeniería civil y la importancia de la misma para la sociedad, luego, entrega un breve análisis del sistema de gestión de calidad, visto través de la ISO, sus recomendaciones y formas de aplicarla en las organizaciones, empresas y procesos. Teniendo en cuenta el estudio realizado del marco teórico sobre la ingeniería civil y el Sistema de Gestión de Calidad (SGC), se hace una integración del SGC a la ingeniería civil por medio de unas recomendaciones y claves para su implementación en los ingenieros del Ejército Nacional de Colombia.
