Information capacity of quantum observable
In this paper we consider the classical capacities of quantum-classical
channels corresponding to measurement of observables. Special attention is paid
to the case of continuous observables. We give the formulas for unassisted and
entanglement-assisted classical capacities and consider some
explicitly solvable cases which give simple examples of entanglement-breaking
channels with We also elaborate on the ensemble-observable duality
to show that for the measurement channel is related to the
-quantity for the dual ensemble in the same way as is related to the
accessible information. This provides both accessible information and the

On Yukawa quasi-unification with mu<0
Although recent data on the muon anomalous magnetic moment strongly disfavor
the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model with mu<0, they cannot
exclude it because of theoretical ambiguities. We consider this model
supplemented by a Yukawa quasi-unification condition which allows an acceptable
b-quark mass. We find that the cosmological upper bound on the lightest
sparticle relic abundance is incompatible with the data on the branching ratio
of b-->s gamma, which is evaluated by including all the next-to-leading order
corrections. Thus, this scheme is not viable.Comment: 4 pages including 3 figures, Revte
Tau Flavour Violation in Sparticle Decays at the LHC
We consider sparticle decays that violate tau lepton number, motivated by
neutrino oscillation data. We work in the context of the constrained minimal
supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM), in which the different
sleptons have identical masses at the GUT scale, and neutrino Dirac Yukawa
couplings mix them. We find that the branching ratio for decay of the heavier
neutralino chi_2 to chi + tau mu is enhanced when the LSP mass m_chi =
m_stau_1, including the region of CMSSM parameter space where coannihilation
keeps the relic chi density within the range preferred by cosmology. Thus chi_2
to chi + tau mu decay may provide a physics opportunity for observing the
violation of tau lepton number at the LHC that is complementary to tau to mu +
gamma decay. Likewise, chi_2 to chi + e mu decay is also enhanced in the
coannihilation region, providing a complement to mu to e + gamma decay.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figure
Continuity of the von Neumann entropy
A general method for proving continuity of the von Neumann entropy on subsets
of positive trace-class operators is considered. This makes it possible to
re-derive the known conditions for continuity of the entropy in more general
forms and to obtain several new conditions. The method is based on a particular
approximation of the von Neumann entropy by an increasing sequence of concave
continuous unitary invariant functions defined using decompositions into finite
rank operators. The existence of this approximation is a corollary of a general
property of the set of quantum states as a convex topological space called the

Lagrangian evolution of global strings
We establish a method to trace the Lagrangian evolution of extended objects
consisting of a multicomponent scalar field in terms of a numerical calculation
of field equations in three dimensional Eulerian meshes. We apply our method to
the cosmological evolution of global strings and evaluate the energy density,
peculiar velocity, Lorentz factor, formation rate of loops, and emission rate
of Nambu-Goldstone (NG) bosons. We confirm the scaling behavior with a number
of long strings per horizon volume smaller than the case of local strings by a
factor of 10. The strategy and the method established here are

Polar Perturbations of Self-gravitating Supermassive Global Monopoles
Spontaneous global symmetry breaking of O(3) scalar field gives rise to
point-like topological defects, global monopoles. By taking into account
self-gravity,the qualitative feature of the global monopole solutions depends
on the vacuum expectation value v of the scalar field. When v < sqrt{1 / 8 pi},
there are global monopole solutions which have a deficit solid angle defined at
infinity. When sqrt{1 / 8 pi} <= v < sqrt{3 / 8 pi}, there are global monopole
solutions with the cosmological horizon, which we call the supermassive global
monopole. When v >= sqrt{3 / 8 pi}, there is no nontrivial solution. It was
shown that all of these solutions are stable against the spherical
perturbations. In addition to the global monopole solutions, the de Sitter
solutions exist for any value of v. They are stable against the spherical
perturbations when v sqrt{3 / 8 pi}.
We study polar perturbations of these solutions and find that all
self-gravitating global monopoles are stable even against polar perturbations,
independently of the existence of the cosmological horizon, while the de Sitter

Which individual, social, and urban factors in early childhood predict psychopathology in later childhood, adolescence and young adulthood? A systematic review
Background: A comprehensive picture is lacking of the impact of early childhood (age 0â5) risk factors on the subsequent development of mental health symptoms. Objective: In this systematic review, we investigated which individual, social and urban factors, experienced in early childhood, contribute to the development of lateranxiety and depression, behavioural problems, and internalising and externalising symptoms in youth. Methods: Embase, MEDLINE, Scopus, and PsycInfo were searched on the 5th of January 2022. Three additional databases were retrieved from a mega-systematic review source that focused on the identification of both risk and protective indicators for the onset and maintenance of prospective depressive, anxiety and substance use disorders. A total of 46,450 records were identified and screened in ASReview, an AI-aided systematic review tool. We included studies with experimental, quasi-experimental, prospective and longitudinal study designs, while studies that focused on biological and genetical factors, were excluded. Results: Twenty studies were included. The majority of studies explored individual-level risk factors (N = 16). Eleven studies also explored social risk factors and three studied urban risk factors. We found evidence for early predictors relating to later psychopathology measures (i.e., anxiety and depression, behavioural problems, and internalising and externalising symptoms) in childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. These were: parental psychopathology, exposure to parental physical and verbal violence and social and neighbourhood disadvantage. Conclusions: Very young children are exposed to a complex mix of risk factors, which operate at different levels and influence children at different time points. The urban environment appears to have an effect on psychopathology but it is understudied compared to individual-level factors. Moreover, we need more research exploring the interaction between individual, social and urban factor
Continuity of quantum channel capacities
We prove that a broad array of capacities of a quantum channel are
continuous. That is, two channels that are close with respect to the diamond
norm have correspondingly similar communication capabilities. We first show
that the classical capacity, quantum capacity, and private classical capacity
are continuous, with the variation on arguments epsilon apart bounded by a
simple function of epsilon and the channel's output dimension. Our main tool is
an upper bound of the variation of output entropies of many copies of two
nearby channels given the same initial state; the bound is linear in the number
of copies. Our second proof is concerned with the quantum capacities in the
presence of free backward or two-way public classical communication. These
capacities are proved continuous on the interior of the set of non-zero
capacity channels by considering mutual simulation between similar channels.Comment: 12 pages, Revised according to referee's suggestion
Neutralino-Nucleon Cross Section and Charge and Colour Breaking Constraints
We compute the neutralino-nucleon cross section in several supersymmetric
scenarios, taking into account all kind of constraints. In particular, the
constraints that the absence of dangerous charge and colour breaking minima
imposes on the parameter space are studied in detail. In addition, the most
recent experimental constraints, such as the lower bound on the Higgs mass, the
branching ratio, and the muon are considered. The
astrophysical bounds on the dark matter density are also imposed on the
theoretical computation of the relic neutralino density, assuming thermal
production. This computation is relevant for the theoretical analysis of the
direct detection of dark matter in current experiments. We consider first the
supergravity scenario with universal soft terms and GUT scale. In this scenario
the charge and colour breaking constraints turn out to be quite important, and
\tan\beta\lsim 20 is forbidden. Larger values of can also be
forbidden, depending on the value of the trilinear parameter . Finally, we
study supergravity scenarios with an intermediate scale, and also with
non-universal scalar and gaugino masses where the cross section can be very
