The semileptonic decays of the B_c meson
We study the semileptonic transitions B_c to \eta_c, J/\psi, D, D^*, B, B^*,
B_s, B_s^* in the framework of a relativistic constituent quark model. We use
experimental data on leptonic J/\psi decay, lattice and QCD sum rule results on
leptonic B_c decay, and on radiative \eta_c transitions to adjust the quark
model parameters. We compute all form factors of the above semileptonic
B_c-transitions and give predictions for various semileptonic B_c decay modes
including their \tau-modes when they are kinematically accessible. The
implications of heavy quark symmetry for the semileptonic decays are discussed
and are shown to be manifest in our explicit relativistic quark model
calculation. A comparison of our results with the results of other calculations
is performed.Comment: 31 pages Latex (uses epsf, revtex). Section II expanded, typos

Mass spectra of doubly heavy Omega_QQ' baryons
We evaluate the masses of baryons composed of two heavy quarks and a strange
quark with account for spin-dependent splittings in the framework of potential
model with the KKO potential motivated by QCD with a three-loop beta-function
for the effective charge consistent with both the perturbative limit at short
distances and linear confinement term at long distances between the quarks. The
factorization of dynamics is supposed and explored in the nonrelativistic
Schroedinger equation for the motion in the system of two heavy quarks
constituting the doubly heavy diquark and the strange quark interaction with
the diquark. The limits of approach, its justification and uncertainties are
discussed. Excited quasistable states are classified by the quantum numbers of
heavy diquark composed by the heavy quarks of the same flavor.Comment: 14 pages, revtex4-file, 3 eps-figures, 5 tables, typos correcte
Study of Bc --> J/psi pi, etac pi decays with perturbative QCD approach
The Bc --> J/psi pi, etac pi decays are studied with the perturbative QCD
approach. It is found that form factors and branching ratios are sensitive to
the parameters w, v, f_J/psi and f_etac, where w and v are the parameters of
the charmonium wave functions for Coulomb potential and harmonic oscillator
potential, respectively, f_J/psi and f_etac are the decay constants of the
J/psi and etac mesons, respectively. The large branching ratios and the clear
signals of the final states make the Bc --> J/psi pi, etac pi decays to be the
prospective channels for measurements at the hadron collidersComment: 21 pages, revtex
A Sucrose Solution Application to the Study of Model Biological Membranes
The small-angle X-ray and neutron scattering, time resolved X-ray small-angle
and wide-angle diffraction coupled with differential scanning calorimetry have
been applied to the investigation of unilamellar and multilamellar
dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) vesicles in sucrose buffers with sucrose
concentrations from 0 to 60%. Sucrose buffer decreased vesicle size and
polydispersity and increased an X-ray contrast between phospholipid membrane
and bulk solvent sufficiently. No influence of sucrose on the membrane
thickness or mutual packing of hydrocarbon chains has been detected. The region
of sucrose concentrations 30%-40% created the best experimental conditions for
X-ray small-angle experiments with phospholipid vesicles.Comment: PDF: 10 pages, 6 figures. MS Word sours
QCD sum rules analysis of the rare B_c \rar X\nu\bar{\nu} decays
Taking into account the gluon correction contributions to the correlation
function, the form factors relevant to the rare B_c \rar X \nu\bar{\nu}
decays are calculated in the framework of the three point QCD sum rules, where
stands for axial vector particle, , and vector particles,
. The total decay width as well as the branching ratio of these
decays are evaluated using the dependent expressions of the form factors.
A comparison of our results with the predictions of the relativistic
constituent quark model is presented.Comment: 21 Pages, 2 Figures and 5 Table
Weak decays of : the non-leptonic case
In our previous study, we calculated the transition from factors of
using the QCD sum rules. Based on the factorization
approximation, the obtained form factors can be applied to evaluate the weak
non-leptonic decay rates of , where stands for a
light pseudoscalar or vector meson. We predict that the branching ratio for
inclusive non-leptonic two-body weak decays of which are realized via
the spectator mechanism, can be as large as , in
particular, the branching ratio of can reach
. Such values will be marginally accessed by the ability of
BESIII which will begin running very soon.Comment: 16 pages, revTex4, 1 figur
Analysis of the vector and axialvector mesons with QCD sum rules
In this article, we study the vector and axialvector mesons with the
QCD sum rules, and make reasonable predictions for the masses and decay
constants, then calculate the leptonic decay widths. The present predictions
for the masses and decay constants can be confronted with the experimental data
in the future. We can also take the masses and decay constants as basic input
parameters and study other phenomenological quantities with the three-point
vacuum correlation functions via the QCD sum rules.Comment: 14 pages, 16 figure
Using Heavy Quark Spin Symmetry in Semileptonic Decays
The form factors parameterizing the B_c semileptonic matrix elements can be
related to a few invariant functions if the decoupling of the spin of the heavy
quarks in B_c and in the mesons produced in the semileptonic decays is
exploited. We compute the form factors as overlap integral of the meson
wave-functions obtained using a QCD relativistic potential model, and give
predictions for semileptonic and non-leptonic B_c decay modes. We also discuss
possible experimental tests of the heavy quark spin symmetry in B_c decays.Comment: RevTex, 22 pages, 2 figure
SU(3) Predictions for Weak Decays of Doubly Heavy Baryons -- including SU(3) breaking terms
We find expressions for the weak decay amplitudes of baryons containing two b
quarks (or one b and one c quark -- many relationship are the same) in terms of
unknown reduced matrix elements. This project was originally motivated by the
request of the FNAL Run II b Physics Workshop organizers for a guide to
experimentalists in their search for as yet unobserved hadrons. We include an
analysis of linear SU(3) breaking terms in addition to relationships generated
by unbroken SU(3) symmetry, and relate these to expressions in terms of the
complete set of possible reduced matrix elements.Comment: 49 page
