Associated central exclusive production of charged Higgs bosons
We propose central exclusive production of a charged Higgs boson in
association with a W boson as a possible signature of certain types of extended
Higgs sectors. We calculate the cross section and find that the rate at the LHC
could be large enough to allow observation in some models with two Higgs
doublets, where the charged Higgs and at least one of the neutral scalars can
be light enough. We use the two-Higgs doublet model as a prototype and consider
two distinct regions of parameter space, but we also briefly discuss the
prospects for the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model, where the
charged Higgs may very well be quite light.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures. Minor changes, references added. Version to

Bjorken Sum Rule and pQCD frontier on the move
The reasonableness of the use of perturbative QCD notions in the region close
to the scale of hadronization, i.e., below \lesssim 1 \GeV is under study.
First, the interplay between higher orders of pQCD expansion and higher twist
contributions in the analysis of recent Jefferson Lab (JLab) data on the
Generalized Bjorken Sum Rule function at is studied. It is shown that the inclusion of the higher-order
pQCD corrections could be absorbed, with good numerical accuracy, by change of
the normalization of the higher-twist terms. Second, to avoid the issue of
unphysical singularity (Landau pole at Q=\Lambda\sim 400 \MeV ), we deal with
the ghost-free Analytic Perturbation Theory (APT) that recently proved to be an
intriguing candidate for a quantitative description of light quarkonia spectra
within the Bethe-Salpeter approach. The values of the twist coefficients
extracted from the mentioned data by using the APT approach provide
a better convergence of the higher-twist series than with the common pQCD. As
the main result, a good quantitative description of the JLab data down to
350 MeV is achieved.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures, minor change
Central exclusive production of scalar \chi_c meson at the Tevatron, RHIC and LHC energies
We calculate several differential distributions for exclusive double
diffractive production in proton-antiproton collisions at the
Tevatron and in proton-proton collisions at RHIC and LHC in terms of
unintegrated gluon distributions (UGDFs) within the -factorisation
approach. The uncertainties of the Khoze-Martin-Ryskin approach are discussed
in detail. The transition vertex is calculated as
a function of gluon virtualities applying the standard pNRQCD technique. The
off-shell effects are discussed and quantified. They lead to a reduction of the
cross section by a factor 2--5, depending on the position in the phase space
and UGDFs. Different models of UGDFs are used and the results are shown and
discussed. The cross section for diffractive component depends strongly on
UGDFs. We calculate also the differential distributions for the fusion mechanism. The integrated cross section for
photon-photon fusion is much smaller than that of diffractive origin. The two
components have very different dependence on momentum transfers in
the nucleon lines as well as azimuthal-angle correlations between both outgoing
nucleons.Comment: 34 pages, 23 figures, 2 table
Peculiarity of surgical rehabilitation of patients with head and neck tumors after radiotherapy
In the paper, the observation of medical rehabilitation of 42 patients that occurred after radiation treatment of head and neck malignant tumors. Tooth removal is possible if necessary. Surgical technique should be as atraumatic as possible and in addition local gel “Apident” can be applied for primary wound closure
Optimization of working and educational processes among teachers and students with the help of auxiliary information resources
Author analyzed modern scientific articles considering the term
«quality of education» and introduced a new level of educational process control for
medical university students in order to provide information to the administration
departments of greater authority level. That creates an ability to enhance the
educational process among the subjects of higher education institutions.
Licensed integrated exam KROK-2 was introduced as a weekly control at the
department. This enables to receive more accurate statistic data for the further control
levels. The research shows that students` skills has been improved by 40% in the
Department of Oral Surgery since the test system was integrated 2 years ago.
This article emphasizes that education quality management system has to
provide basic data monitoring in order to prepare recommendations for further skill
development among future specialists.
Introduction of education process improving pathways, suggested by the
authors, provides the enhancement of educational quality, motivates and stimulates
the future specialists to participate in education process, in order to receive the
required knowledge and professional skills
The inverse moment problem for convex polytopes
The goal of this paper is to present a general and novel approach for the
reconstruction of any convex d-dimensional polytope P, from knowledge of its
moments. In particular, we show that the vertices of an N-vertex polytope in
R^d can be reconstructed from the knowledge of O(DN) axial moments (w.r.t. to
an unknown polynomial measure od degree D) in d+1 distinct generic directions.
Our approach is based on the collection of moment formulas due to Brion,
Lawrence, Khovanskii-Pukhikov, and Barvinok that arise in the discrete geometry
of polytopes, and what variously known as Prony's method, or Vandermonde
factorization of finite rank Hankel matrices.Comment: LaTeX2e, 24 pages including 1 appendi
