Vector boson production in association with KK modes of the ADD model to NLO in QCD at LHC

Next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the associated production of vector boson (Z/W) with the the Kaluza-Klein modes of the graviton in large extra dimensional model at the LHC, are presented. We have obtained various kinematic distributions using a Monte Carlo code which is based on the two cut off phase space slicing method that handles soft and collinear singularities appearing at NLO level. We estimate the impact of the QCD corrections on various observables and find that they are significant. We also show the reduction in factorization scale uncertainty when QCD corrections are included.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figure

Unparticle physics in diphoton production at the CERN LHC

We have considered the di-photon production with unparticle at LHC. The contributions of spin-0 and spin-2 unparticle to the di-photon production are studied in the invariant mass and other kinematical distributions, along with their dependencies on the model dependent parameters. The signal corresponding to the unparticle is significant for moderate coupling constant values.Comment: 17 pages, 15 eps figure

In this paper, we present the next-to-leading order QCD corrections for di-lepton, di-electroweak boson (ZZ, W+W-) production in both the SM and the ADD model, matched to the HERWIG parton-shower using the aMC@NLO framework. A selection of results at the 8 TeV LHC, which exhibits deviation from the SM as a result of the large extra-dimension scenario are presented.Comment: 12 pages, 10 figures, search sensitivity for the 14 TeV LHC discussed, version to appear in Eur. Pseudo-scalar Higgs Boson Production at Threshold N3^3LO and N3^3LL QCD

We present the first results on the production of pseudo-scalar through gluon fusion at the LHC to N3^3LO in QCD taking into account only soft gluon effects. We have used the effective Lagrangian that describes the coupling of pseudo-scalar with the gluons in the large top quark mass limit. We have used recently available quantities namely the three loop pseudo-scalar form factor and the third order universal soft function in QCD to achieve this. Along with the fixed order results, we also present the process dependent resummation coefficient for threshold resummation to N3^3LL in QCD. Phenomenological impact of these threshold N3^3LO corrections to pseudo-scalar production at the LHC is presented and their role to reduce the renormalisation scale dependence is demonstrated.Comment: 34 pages, 17 figure

Soft-collinear effects in prompt photon production

We extend next-to-leading logarithmic threshold and joint resummation for prompt photon production to include leading collinear effects. The impact of these effects is assessed for both fixed-target and collider kinematics. We find them in general to be small, but noticeable.Comment: 14 pages, 12 figures, added comment on fragmentation contribution and one more reference. Version to appear in Phys. Rev.

Parallel-cascade realizations and approximations of truncated volterra systems

Journal ArticleAbstract This paper introduces parallel-cascade realizations of truncated Volterra systems with arbitrary, but finite order of nonlinearity. Parallel-cascade realizations implement higher-order Volterra systems using parallel and multiplicative combinations of lower-order Volterra systems. Such realizations are very modular and therefore well-suited for VLSI implementation. A Systematic way of approximating higher-order Volterra systems in parallel-cascade form using a reduced number of branches and a bound on the mean-square error in the output signals caused by such approximate realizations are derived in this paper. A variation of the parallel-cascade structure in which a pth order Volterra filter is implemented as a parallel combination of linear filters whose outputs are raised to the pth power is also described in this paper

Journal ArticleAbstract-This paper studies adaptive truncated Volterra filters employing parallel-cascade structures. Parallel-cascade realizations implement higher order Volterra systems a s a parallel connection of multiplicative combinations of lower order truncated Volterra systems. A normalized LMS adaptive filter is developed, and its performance capabilities are evaluated using a series of simulation experiments. The experimental results indicate that the normalized LMS adaptive parallel-cascade Volterra filter has superior convergence properties over several competing structures. This paper also includes an experiment that demonstrates the capability of the parallel-cascade adaptive system to reduce its implementation complexity by using fewer than the maximum number of branches required for the most general realization of the system
