On the development of magnetic fields in active regions

Transverse and longitudinal magnetic field scans together with K232 spectroheliograms that cover the early phases of active region formation reveal the following:(a) The new active region forms near the periphery of an old magnetic region. There is evidence that the new region forms an interrelated system with the old magnetic structures on the sun. (b) Noticeable changes in the background magnetic field are seen nearly 3 days prior to the appearance of the sunspot. Magnetic hills of the longitudinal component appear along with bright localized K232 emission. Subsequently the K232 emission spreads along the boundary of one or two adjacent supergranules and at the time of sunspot formation occupies the whole supergranular cell. (c) Transverse fields with strengths of 100-150 gauss form closed regions in the area of the longitudinal component hills, in the very early phases of the region. These fields stretch and link up the two areas later, at which time the peak transverse fields with values near 250 gauss coincide with the zero line of the longitudinal field. When subsequently the spots appear in the new region, the transverse fields are located about the hills of the longitudinal field. The total field vectors just prior to sunspot formation are pressed to the surface. These are inclined about 45° to the surface after the spot appears. The findings indicate that the magnetic field of a new region emerges from the sub-photospheric layers. It is highly likely that the dynamics of a supergranule influences only the emergence of the magnetic field into the upper layers of the solar atmosphere

Thermal regimes of HTS cylinders operating in devices for fault current limitation

We reveal obstacles related to the application of HTS cylinders in current limiting devices based on the superconducting - normal state transition. It is shown that, at the critical current density achieved presently in bulk materials, and especially in BSCCO-2212, the required thickness of the cylinder wall in a full-scale inductive device achieves several centimeters. A simple mathematical model of the operation of an inductive fault current limiter (FCL) is used to show that such cylinders cannot be cooled in admissible time after a fault clearing and, hence, the inductive FCLs and current-limiting transformers employing BSCCO cylinders do not return to the normal operation in the time required. For the recovery even with a non-current pause in the circuit, the cylinders are needed with the critical current density by an order higher than the existed ones.Comment: 15 pages, 5 figure

Analysis of emotional and aesthetic perception by future doctors of works by contemporary ural artists

The article considers the results of emotional perception of artistic canvases by 80 students of three faculties of the Ural state medical University of the Ministry of health of Russia. The correlation between the works of painting by Ural artists which aroused the greatest sympathy and the emotional status of students according to the classification of the psycho–emotional state of the individual by color is studied. The analysis of the results made it possible to substantiate the psychological characteristics of the future generation of doctors.В статье рассмотрены результаты эмоционального восприятия художественных полотен 80 студентами трех факультетов ФГБОУ ВО УГМУ Минздрава России. Perspectives of periodontal diseases treatment and teeth hypersensivitycorrection by means of diode sirolaser therapy

The analyze of the result of the complex treatment of periodontal diseases with including diode Sirolaser therapy based on the objective researching estimating of hygienic and periodontal indices let us to speak about the efficiency of this method. During the using diode laser therapy the reducing processes inside the periodont have been proceeded for the three months of observation. The application of diode laser method in periodontology has allowed to reach such results in shorter term and to diminish to minimum the gum inflammation and negative subjective patient’s sensations. After diode laser therapy tooth hypersensivity has decreased for 6 months observation in examined group. In control group negative subjective patient’s sensations were still staying in 33 % cases.Результаты комплексного лечения заболеваний пародонта с использованием диодной лазеротерапии свидетельствуют об эффективности методики, что доказано данными объективного исследования, цитоморфологического исследования и индексной оценкой. Применение лазеротерапии позволяет на этапе консервативного лечения добиться ремиссии за короткий промежуток времени. Простота, безболезненность метода, быстрое устранение видимых патологических изменений в области десны, уменьшение гиперэстезии зубов привлекает пациентов. Повышенная чувствительность зубов достоверно уменьшилась на протяжении 6 месяцев наблюдения
