The article provides a review of data on the Altai endemic Sibiraea altaiensis (Laxm.) Schneid., one of the archaic species of the genus Sibiraea Maxim. The species is included in the Red Books of the Altai Republic, the Altai Territory, and of Kazakhstan as a rare species, whose numbers are decreasing, mostly due to the influence of anthropogenic factors in its habitats. At the same time, S. altaiensis belongs to agriculturally important species, which is valued for its decorative, medicinal and other useful properties. The species is reproduced by seed, layering shoots, root and summer stem cuttings; however, these methods do not always give good results, and also require large areas for growing plants and are confined to a certain season of the year.Microclonal propagation of plants can become a promising method for the propagation and conservation of S. altaiensis. It consists in the use of in vitro techniques of rapid asexual production of plants that are genetically identical to the original specimen, with a significant saving of time and space required for growing planting material. The use of microcloning for the conservation and reproduction of rare and endangered species is highly justified, since it allows a significant increase in the reproduction rate of plant species, which are difficult or impossible to reproduce vegetatively, or those with low viability or seed productivity.Using in vitro protocols for the propagation of S. altaiensis, 10-28 microshoots were obtained from one lateral bud, which was used as an explant, when cultivated on a modified and a classic Murashige and Skoog (MS) nutrient media supplemented with 1.0 mgL-1 6-benzylaminopurine (6-BAP). These works confirm that in vitro cloning ensures a high reproduction rate of S. altaiensis and, thus, makes it possible to preserve the gene pool of the species and obtain planting material on a commercial scale without causing damage to natural populations

This article includes the results of a scientific study, the purpose of which has been to study the motivational component of the design process in teenagers. In this regard, we considered the motivational component of the teenager's desire to design activities in the field of fine arts. We offered fine arts as an effective mean of developing this component, the effectiveness of which has been proved in the course of experimental work, organized in three consecutive stages. To implement the experimental work, we used observation, testing, diagnostic techniques and other pedagogical methods. We consistently analyzed the results of the experimental and control groups after the formative stage of the experiment, which revealed a positive qualitative and quantitative dynamics of the indicators studied. The qualitative dynamics is manifested in the following: increased emotional responsiveness to works of art and interest in the project activities, illustrations of works, artistic component of literary works, as well as interest in participating in the scientific and practical conferences and competitions not only in fine arts, but also in other subjects. In addition, it is noted the teenager's activity in the after-hour activity on the creation and implementation of new school projects: charitable action, creative competition, school newspaper, master class, etc. It is concluded that the fine arts contribute to the teenager's motivation development to design.Key words: motivation, readiness for design activity, teenagers, fine arts

Steady growth of plastics industry necessitates the disposal of waste products from them. More and more manufacturers seek to include recycled materials and their technological waste in polimers compositions. Blending polymeric materials commonly used in the preparation of thermoformed articles from sheets of thermoplastics. Thermoforming process is cost effective, as it requires a significant investment in tooling in the manufacture of small batches of parts. In this study we investigated species discard practical use products, namely bath made by a combination of methods of thermoforming and contact molding coextruded sheets of ABS plastic with polymethylmethacrylate. Results of the study showed the veracity of the submitted samples assumption that as a raw material in the manufacture of sheets usedrecycled materials, which led to marriage in the finished product

Priorities and directions of development of the Russian economy are connected with the eastern territories. The purpose of the study is to the identify key problems and substantiate indicators of the hygienic and epidemiological welfare of the population of Siberia. Two blocks of characteristics (“public health” and “environment”) are considered in dynamics for 5 years in the context of the subjects of the Siberian Federal District. Four groups of territories differed in terms of the incidence rate and the average life expectancy (ALE) using cluster analysis. It is shown that ALE depends on economic indicators. The incidence is associated with the amount of gross pollutant emissions in the atmospheric air (r = 0.83–0.96; p < 0.001). The assessment of the influence of the habitat on the health of the population at the level of the macroregion allowed to substantiate the hierarchy of the most significant factors. More than 98 % of the environmentally related component of morbidity is associated with the amount of gross emissions of harmful substances in the air (the contribution was 69 %), the provision of the population with doctors (12.6 %) and inpatient beds (6.7 %), the gross regional product (6.5 %), clean water consumption (3 %) and average per capita income (0.8 %). In conclusion, for the successful implementation of preventive strategies, an important stage is the development of a set of solutions for the effective use of resources available in the region (financial, personnel, medical, rehabilitation)

The analysis of the financial result of the companies consolidated group has considered. The interpretation of the «financial result» concept applied to the group of financial and organizational related enterprises has given. It has shown, that the main analysis problems are the relationships opacity within the group as well as the specificity of the individual companies accountability and their subsequent consolidation into the group's accountability. An example of the financial result analysis of the companies group operating in the conditions of the investment development program has given

The Outburst of the Blazar AO 0235+164 in 2006 December: Shock-in-Jet Interpretation

We present the results of polarimetric (RR band) and multicolor photometric (BVRIJHKBVRIJHK) observations of the blazar AO 0235+16 during an outburst in 2006 December. The data reveal a short timescale of variability (several hours), which increases from optical to near-IR wavelengths; even shorter variations are detected in polarization. The flux density correlates with the degree of polarization, and at maximum degree of polarization the electric vector tends to align with the parsec-scale jet direction. We find that a variable component with a steady power-law spectral energy distribution and very high optical polarization (30-50%) is responsible for the variability. We interpret these properties of the blazar withina model of a transverse shock propagating down the jet. In this case a small change in the viewing angle of the jet, by 1o\lesssim 1^o, and a decrease in the shocked plasma compression by a factor of \sim1.5 are sufficient to account for the variability.Comment: 22 pages, 8 figures, accepted for Ap

Behavioral Impact of the Regulation of the Brain 2-Oxoglutarate Dehydrogenase Complex by Synthetic Phosphonate Analog of 2-Oxoglutarate: Implications into the Role of the Complex in Neurodegenerative Diseases

Get PDF
Decreased activity of the mitochondrial 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex (OGDHC) in brain accompanies neurodegenerative diseases. To reveal molecular mechanisms of this association, we treated rats with a specific inhibitor of OGDHC, succinyl phosphonate, or exposed them to hypoxic stress. In males treated with succinyl phosphonate and in pregnancy-sensitized females experiencing acute hypobaric hypoxia, we revealed upregulation of brain OGDHC (within 24 hours), with the activity increase presumably representing the compensatory response of brain to the OGDHC inhibition. This up-regulation of brain OGDHC was accompanied by an increase in exploratory activity and a decrease in anxiety of the experimental animals. Remarkably, the hypoxia-induced elevation of brain OGDHC and most of the associated behavioral changes were abrogated by succinyl phosphonate. The antagonistic action of hypoxia and succinyl phosphonate demonstrates potential therapeutic significance of the OGDHC regulation by the phosphonate analogs of 2-oxoglutarate

Reduction of the number of credit organizations in the banking sector of the Russian Federation has been considered. The paper has been based on the data of Statistical Bulletin of the Bank of Russia for 2015-2017 years. Attention has been paid to some problems of creating banks resources potential especially because of declining external financing. The problems of small and medium-sized banks, including the availability of state budget funds have been designated. The main characteristics of the dynamics of lending to non-financial organizations and individuals have been considered. A discrepancy between the high financial results of the banking sector and a very modest contribution to the investment activities of non-financial organizations has been noted. Particular attention has been paid to the difference in interest rates on loans and deposits for different categories of borrowers and depositors
