Empowerment is an effort to improve the capabilities and potential of the community, so that people can realize the identity, status and dignity to the maximum to survive and develop themselves independently in economic, social, religious and cultural. Government officials today are required to provide the best service for the community, especially in the public service, but the reality in some places one in the village Malalayang Dua subdistrict Malalayang, resource quality apparatus is still questionable it is certainly an impact on excellent service.This study reviews the empowerment for the apparatus in two districts Malalayang Malalayang village, using qualitative research methods, the results of research low levels of education and infrastructure are less likely to cause low quality of village officials so requires empowerment of the above organizations

Kasus Pterigium Di Poliklinik Mata Rsup Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado Periode Januari – Desember 2011

: Pterygium is a triangular-shaped tissue growth fibrovascular that grows from the conjunctiva to the cornea in the area interpalpebra. Pterygium of the conjunctiva grows wings shaped in accordance with bulbi.Prevalence pterygium Perdami Clinical Management Guidelines, the incidence is high at Indonesia pterigium equator area 13.1%.To know pterygium incident at the Ophthalmology Department Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado period January to December 2011.Retrospective descriptive study by examining the data (card patients) who had examination and treatment in Ophthalmology Department and the medical record Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado.The research results obtained from the patients of Pterygium is 213 patients were women had the highest number of 122 patients (57.28%). Pterygium largest number of people in the age group 50-59 years (30.04%). Largest Occupation the retired of 71 patients (33.33%). Patient data obtained from recurrent patients as much as 1 patient (0.52%). The eyes are the most heavily exposed to the OS pterygium as many as 70 patients (42.20%) and the grade of the most much on the grade of patient pterygium II by 67 patients (46.20%).As much as 213 patients who had examination and treatment with surgery pterygium, pterygium postoperative recurrence in patients with acquired and at least this proves that pterygium postoperative complications are rare these days, although in fact this is complications that are often.Visus good 6/3-6/7,is the most visual acuity found in pterygium with grade of I, II and III, while the grade of IV to normal visual acuity is the most.In IV grade is usually disturbing visual axis and more low visual acuity good vision, is to bad.This is proves that the higher the grade of pterygium the more high influence on our visual function is lowered

Pola Bakteri Aerob Penyebab Infeksi Nosokomial Pada Ruangan Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Blu Rsup Prof. Dr. R. D Kandou Manado

: Nosocomial infection is an infection which occurs in the hospital caused by microbacteria from the hospital. Infection in neonatal is a serious issue in each hospital until today. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a care unit for newborn who needs special care. Nosocomial infection is often happening to babies in NICU. The objective is to determine the pattern of aerob bacteria causes nosocomial infection in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) BLU RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. The research used descriptive method with prospective study. The amount of samples are 30 and was taken according to category of care room, room instruments, medical equipments and air. Based on the results, there are 11 species of bacterias included Bacillus subtilis 13 samples (43,3%), Serratia liquefaciens 4 samples (13,3%), Lactobacillus 3 samples (10%), Enterobacter agglomerans 2 samples (6,7%) and Klebsiella pneumoniae 2 samples (6,7%), Proteus mirabilis 1 sample (3,3%), Proteus vulgaris 1 sample (3,3%), Streptococcus non hemoliticus 1 sample (3,3%), Diplococcus 1 sample (3,3%), gram-positive Coccus 1 sample (3,3%) and gram-negative Coccus 1 sample (3,3%)

: Nosocomial infection is an infection which occurs in the hospital caused by microbateria from the hospital. Nosocomial infections that occur in the newborn is a serious problem in every hospital. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a care unit for newborn who needs special care. Nosocomial infections often occur, especially in infants hospitalized in NICU. The purpose of this research is to determine the pattern of aerobic bacteria that could potentially cause nosocomial infections in NICU RSAD Robert Wolter Monginsidi Manado. The research used descriptive cross sectional method. The amount of the samples are 29 and was taken according to category of the treatment room, room instruments, medical equipments and air. Based on the results, there are 9 species of bacterias included Enterobacter cloacae (27%), Staphylococcus sp (17%), Bacillus subtilis (13%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (13%), Serratia liquefaciens (10%), Serratia marcescens (7%), Enterobacter aerogenes (7%), Neisseria sp (3%) and Escherichia coli (3%). The most bacteria that could potentially cause nosocomial infections were Enterobacter cloacae

The type of research used in this study is aresearch method of quantitative analysis with descriptive statistics, with a view to seeking influencesbetween the dependent variable and independent variable.Overall analysis of the results indicates that the leadership of the Head has a positive influence on theAwareness of society in the pay of the UN in the Sub-District of Eris. Senile cataract is cataract found in older people of about 40 years or older. The process of lens opacity usually starts in one eye followed by the eye next to it. To get a picture ​​the frequency of secondary glaucoma caused by senile cataract in the RSUP Prof.. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Perform data collection of patient status secondary glaucoma caused by senile cataract who come for treatment at the eye clinic and inpatient at RSUP. Prof. R. D. Kandou Manado.Conclusion: Be found 24 patients with a diagnosis secondary glaucoma caused by senile cataract pre operations. From the 24 patients who came in RSUP. Prof. R. D.
