    Resource Devolution from the Centre to States: Enhancing the Revenue Capacity of States for Implementation of Essential Health Interventions

    Access to adequate health care services is an important component of empowering people with human capital. This, however, can be achieved only when the spending on health care is adequate and delivery systems efficient. Improving health indicators is an important component of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) set by the United Nations. There are also important targets on health status achievements set for the Tenth Plan. The Common Minimum Programme of the ruling UPA government also seeks to increase the public expenditure by the Centre and States on health and family welfare schemes from the present level of less than 1% to 2%-3% of the gross domestic product (GDP). The provision of health and family welfare services falls in the realm of concurrent responsibility of the Centre and the States, but the latter have a predominant role in the delivery of these services. However, fiscal pressures at the State level lead to compression of expenditures by the State Governments resulting in an increase in Central financing of these services, particularly for some prioritized programmes implemented through the Centre and Centrally sponsored schemes. Thus, over 85% of the public expenditure on medical and public health is incurred by the State Governments, though the proportion of financing the expenditure by the State Governments is lower. This paper identifies the resource gap between the desired and the actual health expenditure in 15 major States in India (14 large, non-special category States and Assam), and highlights the extent to which the gap can be reduced by augmenting resources at the State level. Further, it estimates the resource gap that cannot be met through Statesā€™ own resources and therefore, requires Central transfers. The design of Central transfers needed for meeting the required health expenditure of various States is also discussed.Federal Transfers to Provinces; Public Expenditure on Health

    : The low employment and the standard wage or salary in the country into individĀ­ual driving factors for migrating abroad to find work. This study specifically addresses the calculation of benefits gained migrant workers during their working lives and costs to be incurred during the placement process in South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. The calculation of the estimated value of net benefits is the result of a reduction in the value of benefits and costs, referring to the model of the value of the benefits and costs of International migration developed by Massey et al (1993) The results of calculations indicate that the estiĀ­mated net benefits received by migrant workers in South Korea and Taiwan during the three-year period amounted to 234.5 and 130.8 million. As for the working period of two years, the estimated net value of the benefit received TKI Singapore and Malaysia amounted to 48.5 million and 39 million. The results of the calculations can be used as an alternative choice in the decision making process of individuals to choose the destination country of employment

Through this program , the paradigm established in the public mind that garbage is something that is useless and thrown away , changed into something that also has value and price . Bank through the garbage , people can save rubbish , which was then in a period of time can make money . Research studies using quantitative descriptive analysis . This study aims to determine how the programs socio-economic impact on the waste bank in the Kelurahan Binjai, Kecamatan Medan Denai . Impact is defined as a result of the influence that brings both positive and negative . In this case the intended impact on the socio-economic life of the people in the Kelurahan Binjai , Kecamatan Medan Denai. Based on the analysis of data disimpulakn that the existence of a positive impact on the socio-economic life of the people in the village after the construction of Binjai Garbage Bank . This is shown by the increase in people's income even though in few but provide significant benefits for society . Not only are revenues have increased , but health , and better social interaction among people are also the most important is a cleaner environment also increased over time

    Pengguna internet di Indonesia yang semakin meningkat memunculkan kemungkinan baru dan potensi di bidang e-commerce. Untuk mengetahui potensi lebih jauh perlu diketahui diskripsi penggunaan e-commerce. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan secara deskriptif adopsi dan penggunaan e-commerce dalam rumah tangga di Kota Yogyakarta dan juga melakukan perbandingan adopsi antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa tingkat adopsi e-commerce di Kota Yogyakarta adalah 18,75% untuk kegiatan belanja online dan 12,5% untuk kegiatan penjualan online. Hasil pengujian t membuktikan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan adopsi antara laki-kali dan perempuan dalam adopsi membeli online, namun ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam adopsi menjual online

    Admitted or denied, the gap in life which leads to the strata in society can be found in any society. The social strata and its consequence is the phenomenon of urban society which is universal, including Bengkalis society. It can easily be seen in the daily life of its people. Each person can place him/herself and be placed by others in certain social strata. Social stratification is one of the elements of social system analysis. Social stratification pattern develops and is realized in various forms influenced by complexity of a society. In this analysis, the data collected based on Rogers' (1960) social stratification measurement method, i.e objective and subjective measurement. Different criteria used may result on different strata formed which can be seen on respondents' frequency level on each social strata. Objective criteria consists of the measurements on education, income, power, prestige, type of house, number of children, resident-owned status. Based on objective criteria, by using combined index, from 65 chosen respondents, there are 30 respondents or 46.15% respondents placed in high class and 35 respondents or 53.85% are placed in low class. Respondents who subjectively identify themselves on high class are 12 people or 40 % and on low class are 18 respondents from 30 highclass respondents or about 60%. Those data conclude that social stratification in Bengkalis society is a heterogeneous urban society. The form of social stratification is caused by economic factor, because this factor exactly differentiates people from different kinds of jobs

    Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Minat Konsumen terhadap Produk Rabbani

      Abstrak   Penelitian dilakukan terhadap konsumen produk Rabbani yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat konsumen terhadap produk Rabbani. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah daya tarik iklan, kualitas pelayanan, reputasi Perusahaan, dan atribut produk. Penelitian dilakukan di Bunker Rabbani Surabaya dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 100 sampel dengan jenis kelamin perempuan. Faktor-faktor tersebut dikatakan berpengaruh jika mempunyai nilai signifikansi kurang dari nilai alpha yaitu sebesar 0,05. Hasil pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan setiap item pertanyaan kuesioner dinyatakan valid dan reliabel, sehingga data dapat dianalisis untuk pengujian yang selanjutnya. Secara berturut-turut faktor-faktor yang mempengruhi minat konsumen terhadap produk rabbani adalah atribut produk dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,455, daya tarik iklan dengan koefisien regresi 0,244, kualitas pelayanan dengan koefisien regresi 0,160 dan reputasi Perusahaan dengan koefisien regresi 0,158. Hasil uji signifikansi faktor-faktor tersebut mempunyai pengaruh yang positif signifikan terhadap variabel terikat dengan alpha sebesar 0,05 nilai signifikansi atribut produk sebesar 0,000, nilai signifikansi daya tarik iklan 0,001, nilai signifikansi kualitas pelayanan sebesar 0,035 dan nilai signifikansi reputasi Perusahaan sebesar 0,035. Hasil uji determinasi keseluruhan faktor-faktor tersebut mempunyai pengaruh sebesar 67% terhadap variabel terikat. Simpulan penelitian bahwa daya tarik iklan, kualitas pelayanan reputasi Perusahaan dan atribut produk mempengaruhi minat konsumen secara positif dan signifikan terhadap produk Rabbani.   Kata kunci: Minat, Daya Tarik Iklan, Kualitas Pelayanan, Reputasi Perusahaan, Atribut Produk.     Abstract   Research conducted on consumer products Rabbani, the purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the consumers interests of Rabbani products. The factors examined in this study is the appeal of advertising, service quality, company reputation, and product attributes. The study was conducted in Rabbani Bunker Surabaya with a sample size of 100 samples with the female gender. These factors were said to be influential if it has a significance value is less than the alpha value of 0.05. The test results demonstrate the validity and reliability of each question item questionnaire is valid and reliable, so that the data can be analyzed for further testing. Respectively the factors that affect the consumers interests of products with the product attributes Rabbani is the regression coefficient of 0.455, advertising appeal with regression coefficient 0.244, quality of service with a regression coefficient of 0.160 and the company\u27s reputation with the regression coefficient of 0.158. Results of tests of significance of these factors have a significant positive affect on the dependent variable with an alpha of 0.05 significance value of 0.000 product attributes, significance value 0.001 advertisement appeal, the significant value of quality of service equal to 0.035 and a significance value of 0.035 the company\u27s reputation. Overall test results of determination of these factors have an influence by 67% of the dependent variable. The conclusion that the appeal of advertising, service quality, company reputation and product attributes have positive and significant impact on consumer interest in the product Rabbani.   Keywords: Interests, Appeals Advertising, Service Quality, Company Reputation, Product Attributes &nbsp
