Observing the development of physical measurement of Lippizaner offspring has a specific importance when determining physical and admission maturity of the horse. Knowing the growth and development intensity the breeders can slightly influence the growth and development with their treatments in breeding. Appropriate feeding, care are and of special significance data from the register of the Đakovo horse-farm include animal with full pedigree, that has enabled following the phenotype changes by generations. From morphological characteristics, statistically elaborated were physical measurements (withers height, chest girth, cannon-bone circumference measured by ribbon) of adult mares and stallions, and foals at foaling, at age of six, twelve, twenty four and thirty six months. Males had a higher withers height, both at foaling time and at mature age than females. The chest girth in males is larger at foaling time, while at mature age it is smaller than in females. A larger chest girth in females at mature age is the consequence of gravidity of some females that were included in the research. The obtained values of the cannon-bone circumference have no significant difference with respect to sex. The horse-farm Đakovo has a significant place in team sport, both in two-horse and four-horse teams. The breeding aim is to raise qualitaty animals for team sport and riding at both horse-farm and private breeding. To obtain larger frames and boniness in Lippizaner horses at the horse-farm Đakovo, stallions from Hungary, Romania, Austria and Slovenia were used to infuse new blood. Today the Đakovo Lippizaner is one of the largest when considered this horse breeding. A larger physical frame and boniness is established already in the first generation when refreshed by blood

Hamiltonian analysis of Poincar\'e gauge theory scalar modes

The Hamiltonian constraint formalism is used to obtain the first explicit complete analysis of non-trivial viable dynamic modes for the Poincar\'e gauge theory of gravity. Two modes with propagating spin-zero torsion are analyzed. The explicit form of the Hamiltonian is presented. All constraints are obtained and classified. The Lagrange multipliers are derived. It is shown that a massive spin-00^- mode has normal dynamical propagation but the associated massless 00^- is pure gauge. The spin-0+0^+ mode investigated here is also viable in general. Both modes exhibit a simple type of ``constraint bifurcation'' for certain special field/parameter values.Comment: 28 pages, LaTex, submitted to International Journal of Modern Physics

In the present study we analyzed immunohistochemical expression of MAGE-A 3/4 and NY-ESO-1 in 55 samples of esophageal squamous cell carcinomas (ESCC) and their respective lymph node metastases. To our knowledge this is the first study to assess and compare the expression of these antigens in ESCC lymph node metastases

Random unitaries, Robustness, and Complexity of Entanglement

It is widely accepted that the dynamic of entanglement in presence of a generic circuit can be predicted by the knowledge of the statistical properties of the entanglement spectrum. We tested this assumption by applying a Metropolis-like entanglement cooling algorithm generated by different sets of local gates, on states sharing the same statistic. We employ the ground states of a unique model, namely the one-dimensional Ising chain with a transverse field, but belonging to different macroscopic phases such as the paramagnetic, the magnetically ordered, and the topological frustrated ones. Quite surprisingly, we observe that the entanglement dynamics are strongly dependent not just on the different sets of gates but also on the phase, indicating that different phases can possess different types of entanglement (which we characterize as purely local, GHZ-like, and W-state-like) with different degree of resilience against the cooling process. Our work highlights the fact that the knowledge of the entanglement spectrum alone is not sufficient to determine its dynamics, thereby demonstrating its incompleteness as a characterization tool. Moreover, it shows a subtle interplay between locality and non-local constraints.Comment: 14 pages, 11 figures, 1 tabl

Almost-homogeneity of the universe in higher-order gravity

In the R+αR2R+\alpha R^2 gravity theory, we show that if freely propagating massless particles have an almost isotropic distribution, then the spacetime is almost Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW). This extends the result proved recently in general relativity (α=0\alpha=0), which is applicable to the microwave background after photon decoupling. The higher-order result is in principle applicable to a massless species that decouples in the early universe, such as a relic graviton background. Any future observations that show small anisotropies in such a background would imply that the geometry of the early universe were almost FRW.Comment: 14 pages LaTeX, no figures; to appear in General Relativity and Gravitatio

Particle production and classical condensates in de Sitter space

The cosmological particle production in a k=0k=0 expanding de Sitter universe with a Hubble parameter H0H_0 is considered for various values of mass or conformal coupling of a free, scalar field. One finds that, for a minimally coupled field with mass 0m2<9H02/40 \leq m^2 < 9 H_0^2/4 (except for m2=2H02m^2= 2H_0^2), the one-mode occupation number grows to unity soon after the physical wavelength of the mode becomes larger than the Hubble radius, and afterwards diverges as n(t)O(1)(λphys(t)/H01)2νn(t) \sim O(1)(\lambda_{phys}(t)/H_0^{-1})^{2\nu}, where ν[9/4m2/H02]1/2\nu \equiv [9/4 - m^2/H_0^2]^{1/2}. However, for a field with m2>9H02/4m^2 > 9H_0^2/4, the occupation number of a mode outside the Hubble radius is rapidly oscillating and bounded and does not exceed unity. These results, readily generalized for cases of a nonminimal coupling, provide a clear argument that the long-wavelength vacuum fluctuations of low-mass fields in an inflationary universe do show classical behavior, while those of heavy fields do not. The interaction or self-interaction does not appear necessary for the emergence of classical features, which are entirely due to the rapid expansion of the de Sitter background and the upside-down nature of quantum oscillators for modes outside the Hubble radius.Comment: Revtex + 5 postscript figures. Fresh inflation and decoherence of super Hubble fluctuations

I study a stochastic approach to the recently introduced fresh inflation model for super Hubble scales. I find that the state loses its coherence at the end of the fresh inflationary period as a consequence of the damping of the interference function in the reduced density matrix. This fact should be a consequence of a) the relative evolutions of both the scale factor and the horizon and b) the additional thermal and dissipative effects. This implies a relevant difference with respect to supercooled inflationary scenarios which require a very rapid expansion of the scale factor to give the decoherence of super Hubble fluctuations.Comment: version with minor changes. Get PDF
The objective of investigation was to analyse oil yield components and their relations by simple coefficient correlations as well as direct and indirect effects to oil yield by path analysis. Twenty-four sunflower hybrids were included in the investigation and their seven traits (plant height, head diameter, 1000 seed weight, hec- tolitar mass, grain yield, oil content and oil yield). Very strong positive correlation was estimated between grain yield and oil yield, strong positive correlation between hectolitar mass and oil yield, and middle corre- lation among oil yield and: 1000 seed weight, plaint height and oil content. There was no correlation between grain yields and oil content. Grain yield showed the strongest effect to oil yield. Oil content had lower effect to oil yield. Other traits showed no significant effect to oil yield, and their effect to oil yield was covered by indirect effect of grain yield
