Nonfactorization in Hadronic Two-body Cabibbo-favored decays of D^0 and D^+

    Get PDF
With the inclusion of nonfactorized amplitudes in a scheme with Nc=3N_c=3, we have studied Cabibbo-favored decays of D0D^0 and D+D^+ into two-body hadronic states involving two isospins in the final state. We have shown that it is possible to understand the measured branching ratios and determined the sizes and signs of nonfactorized amplitudes required.Comment: 15 pages, Late

    Spiky strings on AdS3 x S3 with NS-NS flux

We study rigidly rotating strings in the background of AdS3 x S3 with Neveu-Schwarz (NS) fluxes. We find two interesting limiting cases corresponding to the known giant magnon and the new single spike solution of strings in the above background and write down the dispersion relations among various conserved charges. We use proper regularization to find the correct relations among them. We further study the circular and infinite spiky strings on AdS and study their properties.Comment: 19 pages, added clarification, typos fixe

Inelastic Final-State Interactions and Two-body Hadronic B decays into Single-Isospin channels

The role of inelastic final-state interactions in CP asymmetries and branching ratios is investigated in certain chosen single isospin two-body hadronic B decays. Treating final-state interactions through Pomeron and Regge exchanges, we demonstrate that inelastic final state interactions could lead to sizeable effects on the CP asymmetry.Comment: 23 pages, Latex, 1 eps-figur

Pengaruh Jumlah Tanaman Per Lubang Terhadap Vigor Benih Tiga Varietas Sorgum (Sorghum Bicolor [L].Moench) Dengan Metode Pengusangan Cepat (MPC)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the number of plants per hole on seed vigor of all sorghum varieties. Experiment is prepared by treatment with randomized block design (RAK) and repeated three times to do to achieve that goal. The first factor is the number of plants per hole that is 1 plant / hole (p1), 2 plants / hole (p2), 3 plants / holes (p3), and 4 plants / hole (p4). The second factor is the variety Numbu (g1), Keller (g2), and Wray (g3). The seed that had been harvested from each of the combination treatments in the test vigornya through germination test method Rolled Paper Test (UKD). Prior to germinate, seeds treated quickly with imbibition pengusangan on rice paper damp ethanol 8%. The results showed that the population of one plant per hole produces seeds with higher vigor than those harvested from other populations. Numbu varieties produce seeds with higher vigor than varieties Keller and Wray especially on untreated seed pengusangan quickly. Population 1 plant per hole produces the best vigor compared with a population of 2, 3 and 4 plants per hole on the three varieties of sorghum seed

Ground State Spin Structure of Strongly Interacting Disordered 1D Hubbard Model

We study the influence of on-site disorder on the magnetic properties of the ground state of the infinite U 1D Hubbard model. We find that the ground state is not ferromagnetic. This is analyzed in terms of the algebraic structure of the spin dependence of the Hamiltonian. A simple explanation is derived for the 1/N periodicity in the persistent current for this model.Comment: 3 pages, no figure

    Resonant Two-body D Decays

The contribution of a K(1430)K^*(1430) 0+0^+ resonance to D0Kπ+D^0\to K^-\pi^+ is calculated by applying the soft pion theorem to D+Kπ+D^+ \to K^* \pi^+, and is found to be about 30% of the measured amplitude and to be larger than the ΔI=3/2\Delta I=3/2 component of this amplitude. We estimate a 70% contribution to the total amplitude from a higher K(1950)K^*(1950) resonance. This implies large deviations from factorization in D decay amplitudes, a lifetime difference between D^0 and D^+, and an enhancement of D0Dˉ0D^0-\bar D^0 mixing due to SU(3) breaking.Comment: To be published in Physical Review Letters, some corrections, references update

    Nonfactorization and the decays Ds+ϕπ+,ϕρ+D_s^+ \to \phi \pi^+, \phi \rho^+ and ϕl+νl\phi l^+ \nu_l

In six chosen scenarios for the q2q^2 dependence of the form factors involved in Ds+ϕD_s^+ \rightarrow \phi transition, we have determined the allowed domain of x=A2(0)/A1(0)x = A_2(0) / A_1(0) and y=V(0)/A1(0)y = V(0)/A_1(0) from the experimentally measured ratios Rsl=Γ(Ds+ϕl+νl)/Γ(Ds+ϕπ+)R_{sl} = \Gamma(D_s^+ \rightarrow \phi l^+ \nu_l)/\Gamma(D_s^+ \rightarrow \phi \pi^+) and Rh=Γ(Ds+ϕρ+)/Γ(Ds+ϕπ+)R_h = \Gamma(D_s^+ \rightarrow \phi \rho^+)/\Gamma(D_s^+ \rightarrow \phi \pi^+) in a scheme that uses the Nc=3N_c =3 value of the phenomenological parameter a1a_1 and includes nonfactorized contribution. We find that the experimentally measured values of xx and yy from semileptonic decays of Ds+D_s^+ favor solutions which have significant nonfactorized contribution, and, in particular, RslR_{sl} favors solutions in scenarios where A1(q2)A_1(q^2) is either flat or decreasing with q2q^2.Comment: 15 pages, Latex, four figure (available on request)
