Development plan for the Nucleon Physics Laboratory Facility at LAMPF

A 3- to 4-year plan is described for upgrading the LAMPF Nucleon Physics Laboratory including a neutron time-of-flight facility for the (p,n) reaction, a medium-resolution spectrometer for (p,p') and n,p) studies, and a dedicated facility for atomic beam studies. Development of these facilities and relationships to other ongoing developments are detailed. The scope of the new physics programs supported by such a facility is discussed

Nomenclatural note on the Pteridophyte Flora of the Guianas

The study of the pteridophytes of the Guiana Shield and the writing of the Flora of the Guianas led to the discovery that, taxonomically, a few combinations were not yet established for certain taxa. Accordingly, new combinations are proposed for two subspecies of Hymenophyllaceae (Didymoglossum punctatum subsp. labiatum and D. punctatum subsp. sphenoides), two varieties of Pteridaceae (Jamesonia paucifolia var. neblinae and J. paucifolia var. steyermarkii) and one species of Thelypteridaceae (Amauropelta demerarana)

Taxons de Ptéridophytes associés à une planche de Plumier et à un spécimen des Mascareignes - Lectotypification de Polypodium punctulatum Poir.

Lors de l’étude des spécimens du Père Plumier, récoltés aux Antilles, dans les herbiers historiques de l’herbier du Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris (P), nous avons constaté que les protologues de certains taxons comportent la référence à Plumier et font mention de spécimens provenant des Mascareignes. Ces taxons sont détaillés dans le présent article et, à cette occasion, nous avons procédé à la lectotypification de Polypodium punctulatum Poir
