Model testing of measurement systems

Publikacja przedstawia zarys metody budowania modeli systemów pomiarowych oraz przegląd wybranych zastosowań badań modelowych. Koncepcja modelowania polega na odwzorowaniu struktury systemów jako układu elementów funkcjonalnych, powiązanych przetwarzanymi sygnałami. Poszczególne elementy modelowane są za pomoca specyficznych operacji. Taki sposób modelowania umożliwia osiaganie wysokiej jakosci odwzorowania rzeczywistych własciwości systemów w ich modelach. Omówiono trzy rodzaje zastosowań badań modelowych: analizę błędów i wrażliwości oraz optymalizację.The paper presents an outline of a method of forming of measurement systems models, as well as a review of chosen applications of model investigations. The idea modelling of measurement systems structures onto networks of functional elements joined with converted signals. Individual elements are represented as particular operations upon input variables with regard of values of systems parameters. This method of modelling makes possible to achieve high quality mapping of real systems onto their models. Three types of model investigations are treated as a subject: analysis of errors and sensitivities as vell as optimisation

A spline model of the dynamic properties of an electrochemical oxygen sensor

Artykuł przedstawia nową koncepcję budowania modeli właściwości dynamicznych elektrochemicznego czujnika tlenu. Koncepcja polega na wyznaczaniu sygnału wyjściowego czujnika jako funkcji sklejanej z obliczanych przediałami rozwiązań układu równań różniczkowych, o współczynnikach zależnych od kierunku zmian mierzonego stężenia tlenu. Przedstawiono model operacji sklejania oraz wyniki eksperymentalnej weryfikacji modelu sklejanego.The article presents a new concept of constructing models of electrochemical oxygen sensor dynamic properties. The concept consists in the evaluation of sensor output signal as a spline function from the calculated at intervals solutions of a system of differential equations with coefficients dependent on the direction of oxygen concentration changes. Cerebral ventricular volume during hyponatraemia.

In order to determine if the neurologic manifestations in chronic hyponatraemia result partly from brain oedema, we measured the cerebral ventricular volume before and after correction of hyponatraemia in eight patients with central nervous system manifestations. Only the three patients with seizures showed a clear change in the ventricular size and probably had brain oedema

The New Constructions of Insulation Amplifiers for Low-pass Signals

Artykuł przedstawia właściwości metrologiczne nowych rozwiązań układowych izolatorów galwanicznych dwu rodzajów: z barierą pojemnościową oraz światłowodową. Uzyskano układy odporne na wysokie napięcia wspólne, o szerokim paśmie przenoszenia oraz innych właściwościach, które porównano z parametrami znanych układów. Przeprowadzone wstępne badania aplikacyjne opracowanych urządzeń wskazują na możliwe zastosowania, m. in. w pomiarach elektroenergetycznych.The article describes a construction and metrological properties of two new insulation amplifier designs. The first amplifier features a capacitive insulation barrier, while the other uses an optical barrier and power transmission. Conducted experiments include estimation of static and frequency responses and nonlinearities, as well as breakdown tests for the capacitive amplifier. Obtained parameters were compared against popular commercial insulation amplifiers' parameters. Comparison shows that presented amplifiers feature the highest breakdown voltage in class, and very high common mode rejection ratio. Besides parameters estimation, preliminary application experiments were conducted for a capacitive amplifier. These experiments consisted acquisition and spectral analysis of an IGBT converter voltage using a resistive divider and the described amplifier. Presented results of these experiments suggest possible application areas, such as electrical power measurements and power electronic converter voltage analysis
