In the title compound, C31H29BrN2O7, the isoxazolidine ring adopts a twist conformation, while the tetrahydrofuran, dioxolone and pyrrole rings adopt envelope conformations. The structure is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C—H⋯π interactions

The Impact of Human Resource Management Practices on Employees’ Turnover Intention: A Conceptual Model

    Get PDF
It is important for human resource (HR) managers to overcome employees’ turnover intention. Issues encountered may be in the areas of shrinking pool of entry-level workers, individual differences, use of temporary workers, productivity and competitiveness, retirement benefits and skills development. Therefore, this paper discusses extensively on the impact of human resource practices that can alter the negative effect on the organization due to high employees’ turnover. Several previous researches on this issue have been discussed in this paper to enable authors to develop a conceptual framework and five propositions

Chemical Immobilization of Sloth Bears ( Melursus ursinus

The present study was conducted to define the physiological responses of captive sloth bears immobilized with ketamine hydrochloride and xylazine hydrochloride and to determine and compare the values of hematology and serum biochemical parameters between sexes. A total of 15 sloth bears were immobilized using combination of ketamine hydrochloride and xylazine hydrochloride drugs at the dose rate of 5.0 milligram (mg) per kg body weight and 2.0 mg per kg body weight, respectively. The use of combination of these drugs was found satisfactory for the chemical immobilization of captive sloth bears. There were no significant differences observed in induction time and recovery time and physiological parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate, and rectal temperature between sexes. Health related parameters comprising hematological values like packed cell volume (PCV), hemoglobin (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), erythrocyte indices, and so forth and biochemical values like total protein, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine, alkaline amino-transferase (ALT), aspartate amino-transferase (AST), and so forth were estimated in 11 (5 males and 6 females) apparently healthy bears. Comparison between sexes revealed significant difference in PCV (P<0.05) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) (P<0.05). The study might help to evaluate health profiles of sloth bears for appropriate line treatment

In the title compound, C29H29ClN2O7, the isoxazole and dioxolane rings adopt envelope conformations, and the furan ring adopts a twisted conformation. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯π interactions between a benzyloxy methylene H atom and the 4-chlorophenyl ring of an adjacent molecule, and by weak non-classical intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In addition, the crystal structure exhibits a Cl⋯O halogen bond of 3.111 (3) Å, with a nearly linear C—Cl⋯O angle of 160.7 (1)°

Critical HR Retention Strategies: A Proposed Model

    Get PDF
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework on strategies in retaining employees in an organization. Design / Methodology /Approach – This paper discusses extensively on the Human Resources management (HRM) practices that have possible impact on employees turnover intention by citing several previous studies from Asian and western countries. Findings – Based on the review, it is found that all HRM practices such as compensation\ud management, training, career development and performance management are related to employee turnover intention. These practices will enable organizations to improve job commitment and reduce tendency of employees leaving the organization. The research findings are very similar in Asian and western countries. Research Limitation – The paper is limited to review of literature and proposed model should be empirically tested comparatively in various industries / sectors. Practical Implication – All four HRM practices that have been reviewed in this paper should be implemented in workplace. Originality / Value – The paper looks at the importance of HRM practices as a strategy which is often neglected for reducing turnover rate of employees
