Clusterization, frustration and collectivity in random networks
We consider the random Erd{\H o}s--R\'enyi network with enhanced
clusterization and Ising spins at the network nodes. Mutually linked
spins interact with energy . Magnetic properties of the system as dependent
on the clustering coefficient are investigated with the Monte Carlo heat
bath algorithm. For the Curie temperature increases from 3.9 to 5.5
when increases from almost zero to 0.18. These results deviate only
slightly from the mean field theory. For the spin-glass phase appears
below ; this temperature decreases with , on the contrary to the
mean field calculations. The results are interpreted in terms of social
systems.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figures; serious change of result
Hyperons in neutron-star cores and two-solar-mass pulsar
Recent measurement of mass of PSR J1614-2230 rules out most of existing
models of equation of state (EOS) of dense matter with high-density softening
due to hyperonization or a phase transition to quark matter or a boson
condensate.
We look for a solution of an apparent contradiction between the consequences
stemming from up-to-date hypernuclear data, indicating appearance of hyperons
at 3 nuclear densities and existence of a two-solar-mass neutron star.
We consider a non-linear relativistic mean field (RMF) model involving baryon
octet coupled to meson fields. An effective lagrangian includes quartic terms
in the meson fields. The values of the parameters of the model are obtained by
fitting semi-empirical parameters of nuclear matter at the saturation point, as
well as potential wells for hyperons in nuclear matter and the strength of the
Lambda-Lambda attraction in double-Lambda hypernuclei.
We propose a non-linear RMF model which is consistent with up-to-date
semiempirical nuclear and hypernuclear data and allows for neutron stars with
hyperon cores and M larger than 2 solar masses. The model involves
hidden-strangenes scalar and vector mesons, coupled to hyperons only, and
quartic terms involving vector meson fields.
Our EOS involving hyperons is stiffer than the corresponding nucleonic EOS
(with hyperons artificially suppressed) above five nuclear densities. Required
stiffening is generated by the quartic terms involving hidden-strangeness
vector meson.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures. Main results of this paper were already presented

Species diversity of Trichoderma in Poland
In the present study, we reinvestigate the diversity of Trichoderma in Poland utilizing a combination of morphological and molecular/phylogenetic methods. A total of 170 isolates were collected from six different substrata at 49 sites in Poland. These were divided among 14 taxa as follows: 110 of 170 Trichoderma isolates were identified to the species level by the analysis of their ITS1, ITS2 rDNA sequences as: T. harzianum (43 isolates), T. aggressivum (35), T. citrinoviride (11), T. hamatum (9), T. virens (6), T. longibrachiatum (4), T. polysporum (1), and T. tomentosum (1); 60 isolates belonging to the Viride clade were identified based on a fragment of the translation-elongation factor 1-alpha (tef1) gene as: T. atroviride (20 isolates), T. gamsii (2), T. koningii (17), T. viridescens (13), T. viride (7), and T. koningiopsis (1). Identifications were made using the BLAST interface in TrichOKEY and TrichoBLAST (http://www.isth.info). The most diverse substrata were soil (nine species per 22 isolates) and decaying wood (nine species per 75 isolates). The most abundant species (25%) isolated from all substrata was T. harzianum
RAMS a basic of safety and product quality assurance in railway transport
Analysis of controlled collisions of the tram with a car and load-carrying from a point of view of the safety of passengers and tram drivers
Experimental validation of the sensing capabilities of tunable interdigital transducer
Modern systems and methods of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Non Destructive Testing (NDT) require new types of transducers. In this paper, a new type of Lamb Wave transducer, the Tunable Interdigital Transducer (T-IDT), developed at AGH University of Science and Technology, is presented and its sensing capabilities are discussed based on experimental tests. The properties of the proposed transducer are similar to those of a traditional Interdigital Transducer (IDT), except for its ability to change the wavelength to which the transducer is tuned without introducing any physical changes in the electrode layout. In the paper, three sets of experiments are presented. The first two determine the ability of the transducer to measure the distance of damage from the transducer. The last set of experiments investigates the angular sensitivity of the proposed transducer for modelled damage. The presented results are compared to ones obtained with a traditional IDT.Nowoczesne systemy i metody Monitorowania Stanu Konstrukcji (ang.
