    Characteristic polynomials of supertropical matrices

Supertropical matrix theory was investigated in [6], whose terminology we follow. In this work we investigate eigenvalues, characteristic polynomials and coefficients of characteristic polynomials of supertropical matrices and their powers, and obtain the analog to the basic property of matrices that any power of an eigenvalue of a matrix is an eigenvalue of the corresponding power of the matrix.Comment: Department of Mathematics, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan 52900, Israel. Quantum Broadening of k-Strings from the AdS/CFT Correspondence

We study the quantum broadening (width) of k-strings. We generalise an old result by Luscher, Munster and Weisz to the case of a k-string, by using the gauge/gravity correspondence. When the fundamental QCD-string is replaced by a bound state of k strings, the bound state is better described by a wrapped D-brane. We calculate the width of the k-string (the wrapped D-brane) in several AdS/CFT backgrounds by using a D-brane probe and find universally that omega_k ^2 = 1 / (2\pi \sigma_k) log R/r .Comment: 13 pages, LaTex. v2: minor changes, references added. In 2014, number of malnutrition cases in Purbalingga District were 80 cases. The success of exclusive breastfeeding program could not be separated with a role of management system of the program. Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Purbalingga District in 2014 was 63.40% (below the target of 80%). The aim of this study was to analyse aspects of input, process, and output of the exclusive breastfeeding program at health centres in Purbalingga District. This was a qualitative study presented using descriptive and explorative methods. Data were collected by conducting indepth interview to four main informants working as nutritionist and to 8 informants for triangulation purpose, namely 4 heads of health centres and 4 coordinator midwives. Data were analysed using content analysis. The results of this research showed that input aspects at health centres with low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding were as follows; number of human resource was insufficient; there was no training followed; there was no specific budget allocated; facilities were insufficient; there was no SOP; and not all implementers of the program knew an available regional regulation. Process aspects at health centres with high coverage of exclusive breastfeeding were as follows; a planning was determined by work steps; supervision, guidance, and socialisation were routinely conducted; there were some obstacles in the implementation of the program in both kinds of health centres. Output aspects demonstrated that there was no KP-ASI at health centres with low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding, otherwise KP-ASI was available at health centres with high coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. Advocacy needs to do to the local government in order to approve a draft of the regional regulation and to implement it. A lactation room needs to be provided. The program of exclusive breastfeeding and allocation of specific budget needs to be prioritised. There needs to arrange planning and training to fulfil human resource of health and to add number of counsellor as a trained worker for exclusive breastfeeding at public and private institutions. This paper presents the effect of current forces on the motion of forces on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) in irregular waves. The objective of this research is to compute the motion of FPSO in irregular waves by time domain simulation including the effect of current forces. A study is made on the slowly varying oscillations of a moored single body system in a current and waves. Linear potential theory is used to describe the fluid motion, and three-dimensional source distribution techniques are applied to obtain the hydrodynamic forces and transfer function of the wave exciting forces. OCIMF (1994) data are used for estimation of the current forces. The non-linear time domain simulations have been carried out in irregular waves. Based on it, slowly varying motion responses are examined including the effect of the current forces. Several environmental conditions, such as the current angle of attack, current velocity, significant wave height and mean wave period are considered, which may significantly affect FPSO motion in surge, sway and yaw moments. It is found that the effect of current forces is quite significant when the current velocity is increased. In this simulation, while the current velocity is increased to 3.0 meter/seconds, the impact on FPSO motion is quite significant, which should be taken into consideration from the point of view of safety, failure of mooring systems, operating responses and the dynamic positioning of the FPSO

Goodness-of-fit analysis of the Cosmicflows-2 database of velocities

The goodness-of-fit (GoF) of the Cosmicflows-2 (CF2) database of peculiar velocities with the LCDM standard model of cosmology is presented. Standard application of the Chi^2 statistics of the full database, of its 4,838 data points, is hampered by the small scale nonlinear dynamics which is not accounted for by the (linear regime) velocity power spectrum. The bulk velocity constitutes a highly compressed representation of the data which filters out the small scales non-linear modes. Hence the statistics of the bulk flow provides an efficient tool for assessing the GoF of the data given a model. The particular approach introduced here is to use the (spherical top-hat window) bulk velocity extracted from the Wiener filter reconstruction of the 3D velocity field as a linear low pass filtered highly compressed representation of the CF2 data. An ensemble 2250 random linear realizations of the WMAP/LCDM model has been used to calculate the bulk velocity auto-covariance matrix. We find that the CF2 data is consistent with the WMAP/LCDM model to better than the 2 sigma confidence limits. This provides a further validation that the CF2 database is consistent with the standard model of cosmology.Comment: submitted to MNRAS, V2 : solved page sizing proble

Cities have transformed collecting public places into private spaces. While in the past, public places as an urban place had a specific identity for themselves. Nowadays in nonexistence of connection between public and private life residents are forced to create their social life within their own control and are not entered to identity in public space. Urban spaces are made regardless to social needs of residents and their cultural origins. Formation of urban spaces impact to quality of its social and spatial and cannot be absorbed potential of environmental and social. For reproduction of social identity is required the behaviour-milieu this behaviour-milieu is a place for standing of pattern behaviour. In this way the role of neighborhood center as behavioural setting appears to be helping as to establish the distinctive identity of the place and create the conditions in which residents can develop their relationships and control. Behavioural complex also provide context of social partnership. Places can be considered as a physical form with their spatial territory which supports activity, ceremonies, and events and helps to sense of place formation. Feeling of neighborhood territory will exacerbate dependence and sense of place to it. The most important aspect of sense of place is attachment of people to their home or neighborhood sphere. Belonging to them make a territory feeling. Sense of place supports the cultural concept, social and culture relationship of society in the place and achieves to individual identity. This paper reviews recent research and literature review into the concept of sense of place and their assessment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the sense of place in the traditional urban to be carried out in the contemporary urban setting. The discussion presents the relationship between four groups of sense of place, territory, dependence, and finally provides a conceptual model as to show how these factors affect to sense of place. The result of this study indicates a model that mentions a relationship between dimensions of sense of place. This paper argues that territory in behavioural setting as the subset of place dependence is the best instrument to improve the sense of plac
