An Integrated Approach for the Building and the Selection of Multidisciplinary Teams in Health Care System

    Get PDF
This chapter presents a support approach for the building and the selection of multidisciplinary teams. In the first part, we propose a new general model for multidisciplinary team building. The proposed model takes professional’s preferences into account when a team building process is required for any type of project. In the second part, we develop hybridization between a multicriterion decision method and a cognitive method for selection teams. The developed methodology is based on the experiences of the past operations in order to select the adequate team for a new operation. We test the effectiveness of the model using health care domains of different complexities and describe some practical experiences of using the model in the surgical team building process

Towards an Extended Interoperability Systemic Approach for Dynamic Manufacturing Networks: Role and Assessment of PLMStandards

Abstract. This paper aims at illustrating some limitations of the systemic approach when will-ing to ensure the interoperability of PLM solutions within a Dynamic Manufacturing Network (DMN), based on e-Business PLM standards and their implementations, being industrial pro-cesses, methods, applications or Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) solutions. Indeed, addressing interoperability challenges in such a complex digital business eco-system calls for a holistic approach based on the “system ” paradigm. Setting this way, a part of our goal is to underline the limits and drawbacks of such an approach as interoperability brakes and to derive the issues that must be addressed in terms of research in order to remove them. This paper introduces a new approach in order to set up a test bed environment for PLM standards. The required and proposed approach considers a PLM standard not only as a technical solution, but above all as a strategic solution for which it is mandatory to support and enhance discus-sions between enterprise, product/system, processes, ICT architects and designers. The pro-posed approach- for analyzing and assessing the relevancy of PLM standards regarding their usage in specific business contexts- will be illustrated with a multi-layer modeling language. This language is used to model standards-based business collaboration scenarios and to mode

Reconfigurable Supply Chain Performance: A Bibliometric Analysis

    No full text
International audienceMarket disruptions and changes make the assessment process of supply chain performance more complex. Hence, the implementation of key indicators to evaluate the ability of the supply chain to cope with these disruptions has received increasing attention. Reconfigurability provide the ability to quickly change supply chain structure and functions by increasing its responsiveness and flexibility to deal with disruptions. This paper aims to analyze the contributions of researchers in the field of performance evaluation under supply chain disruption. A bibliometric analysis is conducted to identify publications dealing with performance evaluation under supply chain disruption field. The analysis started with the selection of articles using the following keywords (Reconfigurability, Evaluation, Supply Chain). Then, the selected articles were analyzed based on the criteria of the bibliometric analysis. The paper aims to capture the current research and potentialresearch related to the evaluation of performance in reconfigurable supply chain under disruption

    Towards a business process reconfiguration

International audienceThe continuous search for flexibility leads companies to implement reconfigurable supply chains. In this article, we focus on the reconfiguration of supply chains through the business processes that compose them. We propose an approach of reconfiguration based on an integrated QFD "Quality Function Deployment"/ AHP "Analytic Hierarchy Process" model that allows to determine the processes, activities, roles and actors that require reconfigurations. Our aims is to determine a compromise between the scenario of reconfiguration chosen and the business processes on the one hand, and to prioritize activities, roles and actors on the other hand

A Robust Mixed-Integer Linear Programming Model for Sustainable Collaborative Distribution

In this paper, we propose robust optimisation models for the distribution network design problem (DNDP) to deal with uncertainty cases in a collaborative context. The studied network consists of collaborative suppliers who satisfy their customers’ needs by delivering their products through common platforms. Several parameters—namely, demands, unit transportation costs, the maximum number of vehicles in use, etc.—are subject to interval uncertainty. Mixed-integer linear programming formulations are presented for each of these cases, in which the economic and environmental dimensions of the sustainability are studied and applied to minimise the logistical costs and the CO2 emissions, respectively. These formulations are solved using CPLEX. In this study, we propose a case study of a distribution network in France to validate our models. The obtained results show the impacts of considering uncertainty by comparing the robust model to the deterministic one. We also address the impacts of the uncertainty level and uncertainty budget on logistical costs and CO2 emissions

Reconfigurable Supply Chain Selection: Literature Review, Research Roadmap and New Trends

    No full text
The COVID-19 pandemic revealed weaknesses in the global supply chain management. With stock-outs, transportation problems and the bullwhip effect caused by ever-changing demand, it is necessary for decision-makers to review their supply chain configuration. The latter must adapt to new market changes and respond quickly and cost-effectively to customer requirements. In fact, the selection criteria of the most reconfigurable configuration, i.e., the configuration that adapts its structure and its functions to the new market changes, must respond to this problem. The aim of this paper is to conduct a literature review of the criteria and methods for configuration selection in reconfigurable manufacturing systems and reconfigurable supply chains. This study allows to define a roadmap for the configuration selection in reconfigurable supply chains based on the most efficient reconfigurability criteria. We provide new trends to consider in this selection problem. This paper allows managers to choose the most appropriate criteria to implement a reconfigurable supply chain

Optimization of the Collaborative Hub Location Problem with Metaheuristics

By creating new job opportunities and developing the regional economy, the transport of goods generates significant costs, environmental and sanitary nuisances, and high greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In this context, collaboration is an interesting solution that can be used to enable companies to overcome some problems such as globalization, economic crisis, health crisis, issues related to sustainability, etc. This study deals with the design of a multiperiod multiproduct three-echelon collaborative distribution network with a heterogeneous fleet. By applying the mixed integer linear problem (MILP) formulations, it was possible to study the three dimensions of sustainability (economic, environmental, and social/societal). Since the examined problem was NP-hard, it was solved using four metaheuristic approaches to minimize the different logistics costs or CO2 emissions. The social/societal aspect evaluated the accident rate and the noise level generated by the freight transport. Four algorithms were developed to achieve our objectives: a genetic algorithm, a simulated annealing, a particle swarm algorithm, and a vibration damping optimization algorithm. Considering a French distribution network, these algorithms overcame the limits of the exact solution method by obtaining optimal solutions with reasonable execution time
