    O mercado de cervejas brasileiro atual Ć© altamente concentrado. Neste trabalho objetiva-se identificar e analisar os fatores que geraram esta concentraĆ§Ć£o. Para tanto se utilizou um referencial teĆ³rico a partir da OrganizaĆ§Ć£o Industrial, tratando de estruturas de mercado e dos fatores que levam a concentraĆ§Ć£o de mercados. A partir deste referencial, os dados recentes sobre o mercado de cerveja foram analisados. Concluiu-se que o mercado de cerveja brasileiro atual Ć© um oligopĆ³lio diferenciado-concentrado e que o processo de fusƵes e aquisiƧƵes foi o principal fator de aumento de concentraĆ§Ć£o, incentivado pelas economias de escala.The current Brazilian beer market is highly concentrated. This paper aims to identify and analyze the factors that led to this concentration. For that, it was used a theoretical framework from Industrial Organization, dealing with market structures and the factors that lead to market concentration. From this framework, recent data about the beer market were analyzed. It concluded that the current Brazilian beer market is a differentiated oligopoly and that the process of mergers and acquisitions has been the main factor in increasing concentration, encouraged by economies of scale
