    Mathematics requires some aspects to support the learning process, including the ability of creativity. It is necessary to look for an alternative learning activity that can enhance learning and provide opportunities for students more active. A cooperative learning approach to the type of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) is one of the alternatives to increase the liveliness of students in learning mathematics; math is creativity, so students increased. This research is a study of a class act in SMAN Angkola South, with the subject population, is a whole grade X-A SMAN Angkola South, as the object of research, is the ability of teachers to manage learning and student activities in the implementation of learning and ability of students in the student's creativity through the implementation of cooperative approaches type TPS. From the results, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model types Think-Pair-Share (TPS) can be used to enhance the ability of creativity mathematics students. The results of the evaluation at the end of the cycle I indicate the average score reached 34.16 class with the completeness of classical learning percentage of 30%. In cycle II, the average class reached 77.16 by the rate of completeness of classical learning of 90%.     The type of research used is Classroom Action Research where the research is carried out by lecturers in their own class by implementing, implementing, and reflecting on collaborative and participatory actions with the aim of improving performance as a lecturer so that learning outcomes increase. The subjects of this research were students of the 6th semester of the Mathematics Education study program in the Elementary Linear Algebra course which consisted of 20 students. Meanwhile, the object of research is the improvement of students 'abilities in mathematical problems, increasing students' self-confidence and the ability of lecturers to learn through the Inquiry method. The conclusions that can be drawn from this study are 1) The ability of student learning outcomes in mathematics learning through the inquiry method in Elementary Linear Algebra is shown by the proportion of learning test results, namely 78.50% with the category "Enough" in the first cycle increased to 86.84% category "Good" in cycle II. 2) The ability of students' self-confidence using the observation method has increased when viewed from the student results in the first cycle with the proportion of 84.45% in the "Good" category, the proportion of observations of students in the second cycle becomes 94.57% in the "Very Good" category

    Application of Problem Based Learning Models to Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

    Student problem solving abilities are still low because of the lack of response of students' feedback to the teacher's questions and explanations, and the lack of concentration on mathematics. The cause of the problem is the lack of problem solving abilities of students in mathematics learning, and variations in the application of learning models. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of problem-based learning models on mathematical problem solving abilities of students at SMAN 7 Padangsidimpuan. The type of experimental research consisted of case groups (problem based learning methods) and controls (question and answer method), with a 2x3 factorial design. The population in the study is the student at class X SMAN 7 as many as three classes with a total of as many as 34 students / class. The research samples were class X-2 and X-3, with random sampling techniques. Techniques in collecting data through tests, observations, and interviews. Statistical analysis was performed using t test analysis. The results showed that the problem-based learning model was better than through the application of direct learning, with the average results of the experimental class students being 80.74 and the control class 68.24. The application of problem-based learning to improve students' problem solving skills can be carried out by teachers in the dual improvement of the quality of education in schools.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah di kelas VIII SMP   N 2 Batang Angkola. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakankelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 2 Batang Angkola yang berjumlah26 siswa.Objek penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi statistika di kelas VIII-A SMP N 2 BATANG ANGKOLAPada tes   kemampuan awal diperoleh bahwa banyaknya siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar yaitu 8dari 26 orang siswa (30,76%) dengan rata-rata kelas 44,11  kategori kemampuan sangat rendah. Hasil analisis pada siklus I setelah dilakukan pembelajaran melalui metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah banyaknya siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan adalah 11dari 26 orang siswa (42,30%) dengan rata-rata kelas 48,27 kategori kemampuan sedang. Pada hasil analisis data siklus II banyaknya siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar  adalah 20 dari 26 orang siswa (76,92%) dengan rata-rata kelas 69,42 kategori kemampuan sedang. Berdasarkan criteria ketuntasan belajar klasikal yaitu minimal 75 % dari jumlah siswa, maka daya serap nilai hasil belajar siswa telah mencapai rata-rata mnimal 65. Maka dari hasil belajar siswa melalui metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada tiap siklus meningkat dan telah mencapai target ketuntasan belajar klasikal yang diharapkan

    This research type is Classroom Action Research with student population of sixth semester Graha Nusantara University which amounted to 26 people with object model of learning using problem based instruction as an effort to improve concept understanding student study on vector analysis course. The results showed the results of concept comprehension siclus I test with problem-based instruction obtained percentage of 69.23% sufficient criteria and on the second siclus obtained percentage of 84.62% good criteria. Based on the observation of student activity on the first cycle obtained student activity levels of 70.56% with sufficient category and on the second cycle increased student activity to 86.68% with good category. As for the observation of lecturer ability of cycle I obtained the average value 3,428571 with the category of "Good" and cycle II increased to 4.107143 with the category of "Good". The conclusion of this study is the use of problem based instruction learning models can improve students' understanding of concepts in vektor analysis subjects

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika Bangun Ruang menggunakan metode mind map pada siswa kelas IV SD N 200205 Padangsidimpuan. Hipotesis tindakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode Mind Map dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika kelas IV SD Negeri 200205 Padangsidimpuan tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Proses Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yang dikemukakan oleh Kemmis dan Taggart yang menggunakan siklus sistem spiral yang maing-masing siklus terdiri dari rencana, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 200205 Padangsidimpuan yang berjumlah 31 orang. Sedangkan obyek penelitian adalah keseluruhan proses pada penerapan metode Mind Map di SD Negeri 200205 Padangsidimpuan. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari hasil observasi, tes akhir siklus dan dokumentasi. Untuk analisis data kuantitatif diolah dengan rumus-rumus statistik, sedangkan analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan seluruh data yang tersedia dari lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menggunakan metode Mind Map mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar Matematika siswa kelas IV sebesar 42,16%. Selain itu dari hasil analisis data observasi mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari 45,7% aspek terpenuhi menjadi 82,7% aspek. Karena pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Mind Map dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa, maka diharapkan guru dapat menerapkan pembelajaran tersebut
