Sunda Strait has an important role in the water mass exchange from the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean so that the oceanographic condition is strongly affected by seasonal factors. The purpose of this study is to observe the relationship and the characteristics of significant wave height (SWH) and sea surface temperature (SST) in the Sunda strait and its relationship with IOD. The method employed is spatial analysis, low-pass filter, and spectrum analysis by S-Transform, beside that the correlation between SST and SWH is analyzed by wavelet coherency. The period of SWH and SST is dominantly semiannual, at the time of winter monsoon (the Northeast Monsoon), the SWH was reaching up to 2,11 m, while at the summer monsoon, the SWH was reaching up to 3.62 m. Reversely, the SST increased during the winter monsoon. At the time of 2016 had been detecting by the negative IOD with the IOD index of -0.65 and it caused the SWH increased by 0.3 m than its average. Based on the wavelet coherence, the SWH and the SST have the coherence in the period of 8 to 16 days, especially in March to April, and June to August

Landsat 8 satellite provides information (image / picture / photo map) operating free which can be downloaded from the official website. Lyzenga analysis is used to correction of water column so that the appearance of the object in satellite sensors for the better. The study was conducted during the month of August 2016 using the method with Lyzenga, proofreading imagery, as well as classification. The purpose of this research is to know the distribution of sea grass in coastal areas of the island of Batam using Landsat 8, by looking at the physical parameters of the ocean in-situ temperature and dissolved oxygen (DO). These results indicate the relationship of the distribution of each station has the lowest value that is at Piayu sea, and the highest brightness values are in the area of Nongsa sea, dissolved oxygen (DO) is highest in the area Piayu sea and the highest temperature in the area Sekupang sea with a value of 80 mg/l and 36.50 C. His cause is not found in mono-specific sea grass life and the area, and there are no real ecological disturbances, such as the characteristics of the habitat, community structure, and the threat of sea grass distribution plan participate discussed

3D modelling of buildings in Google Earth in Batam city, Indonesia is very important for knowledge about facility, infrastructure, and others.Three-dimensional (3D) visualisations are an interesting method for representing model outcomes. This research In Tunjuk island with coordinate, at Latitude: 0.984123°, and Longitude: 104.225606°, with technical terms, there are two alternative routes for implementation, and they both share the same starting stage. In (Figure 5) visible visual measurements of the master plan that has been made has a length 141.99 metre and width 54.25 metre with location at Latitude 0.984593° and Longitude 104.228073°. In (Figure 5) visible visual measurements of the master plan that has been made has a length 92.96 metre and width 135.46  metre with location at Latitude 0.984593° and Longitude 104.228073°. This paper presented a rapid visualisation tool for supporting the joint decision making in evaluation of design/renewal proposals in Batam City, Tunjuk Island, Indonesia. 3D building using Google Earth (GE) and combaining Geographic Information System (GIS) system be done officially on a sampling or auditing basis by a professional body or by researchers, or it could be done by volunteers and user groups

Improving community accessibility based on transport connectivity helps to address equity issues. Geographical information systems (GIS) provide useful techniques for capturing, maintaining and analyzing spatial data to defining community issues. The objective of this study is to model accessibility of community facilities using GIS based on private car, bus and train in the city area of Depok, Indonesia. The study modeling the accessibility of community facilities using Geographical information systems (GIS). A geodatabase of community facilities that includes the location of the mall, schools, hospital, mosque, and lake and also supporting data such as street and road network, the number of population, density and land use. The geodatabase covers defining community facilities and modeling accessibility by car, by bus, and by train and analyzing the social pattern. The results obtained from the spatial pattern of accessibility based on the different modes of transportation using the method of network analysis and buffering operations underlines the existence of different patterns. Car transport mode is a commonly accessible mode of community-related to land use interpretation and social issues. The conclusion is that there are differences in the spatial models at the city level in terms of the use of transportation accessibilit

Hepatitis B immunization gives protection to hepatitis B disease. The purpose of this study was to assess the immune response of hepatitis B immunization on infants with 0,2,9 and 3,4,9 months of age schedule. The study was performed cross sectionally at the Child Health clinic of Social Pediatric sub division H. Adam Malik Hospital from November 1st 1998 until February 28th 1999. The anti HBs responses were examined in blood by ELISA method one month after the third immunization at the Clinical Pathology Division FK-USU/H. Adam Malik Hospital. Protective immune response defined if the anti HBs level ³ 10 mIU/ml. Nutritional status of infants were grouped according to the NCHS classification. The result obtained were statistically tested by Fisher exact test and t-test, on the level of significance p < 0.05. Twenty six (86.7%) of the infants had protective immune response and there were no significant difference on the level of immune response among these two groups. Gender and nutritional status seems to have no influence on the anti HBs level. In Conclusion, hepatitis B immunization either with 0,2,9 or 3,4,9 months of age schedule obtained the same immune response

Coastal water is water areas that receive much input of organic matter originating from human activities on land. Anthropogenic activities such as marine aquaculture in Teluk Lampung impact water quality on that waters. This study was conducted to determine the distribution of water quality around Teluk Lampung and its correlations to marine aquaculture activities. The analysis carried out in this study is spatial analysis to determine the spatial distribution of water quality in three focus area, namely Teluk Hurun (HB), Selatan Teluk Hurun (SHB) dan Pantai Sari Ringgung (SRB) as part of Teluk Lampung. In addition to spatial analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) was also carried out to determine water quality as a variable and its correlation to each area. Based on the results of this study, the spatial distribution of water quality varies based on the human activities type in each area. Based on the results of principal component analysis, it is known that the variability of several water quality variables also correlates with the human activities types, such as marine aquaculture and beach tourism
