    Propusal for the design of a biodigestor starting of the energy evaluation of the RSO of five restaurants

    En el desarrollo de este proyecto se identifican los Residuos Sólidos Orgánicos (RSO) de mayor producción en los restaurantes aledaños a la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas - Facultad Tecnológica. Encontrando mayor presencia de cáscaras de plátano y papa; con los cuales se evalúa la posibilidad de obtener biogás y usarlo como biocombustible al interior de la Facultad Tecnológica. Con estos residuos se realizan combinaciones con diferentes porcentajes de concentración, y se agrega rumen como inóculo. Se escoge la combinación de mayor producción de biogás a temperatura controlada y temperatura ambiente. Los mejores resultados se consiguen con la combinación de 50% y 50% de las biomasas residuales tratados a temperatura ambiente, (20°C) seguidos de la combinación de 75% de cáscara de papa y 25% de cáscara de plátano, tratados a 30°C. Se evalúa su eficiencia energética, lográndose valores de 45% y 53,8% respectivamente. Los tiempos de retención fueron de 55 días para las dos mezclas. Con esta información se formula el diseño de un biodigestor de flujo semi-continuo para ser cargado cada 2 o 3 días, y se propone su ubicación próxima a una estufa de gas en la cocina de la cafetería de la Facultad Tecnológica.In the development of this project are identified the highest production of the MSW (Organic solid waste) in the restaurants around the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas – Facultad Tecnológica, Finding the greater presence of banana and potato peels, with which are evaluate the possibility to get biogas and using it as a biofuel inside Facultad Tecnológica. With these residues are made combinations with different percentages concentration, and rumen is added as inoculum. It is choose the higher biogas production combination at controlled temperature and environment temperature. The best results are achieved with the combination of 50% and 50% of the residual biomass treated at environment temperature, (20 ° C) followed by the combination of 75% potato peel and 25% banana peel, treated at 30 ° C. It is evaluate the energy efficiency, achieving values of 45% and 53.8% respectively. Retention times were 55 days for the two mixtures. With this information is formulated the design of a semi-continuous flow biodigester to be loaded every 2 or 3 days, and the proposed location is next to the gas stove in the kitchen of the cafeteria of the Facultad Tecnológica
