On the strong stability of ergodic iterations

We revisit processes generated by iterated random functions driven by a stationary and ergodic sequence. Such a process is called strongly stable if a random initialization exists, for which the process is stationary and ergodic, and for any other initialization, the difference of the two processes converges to zero almost surely. Under some mild conditions on the corresponding recursive map, without any condition on the driving sequence, we show the strong stability of iterations. Several applications are surveyed such as stochastic approximation and queuing. Furthermore, new results are deduced for Langevin-type iterations with dependent noise and for multitype branching processes.Comment: 21 page

Three-component fluid dynamics for the description of energetic heavy-ion reactions

    Get PDF
The nucleons taking part in heavy ion reaction are considered as a three-component fluid. The first and second components correspond to the nucleons of the target and the projectile, while the thermalized nucleons produced in the course of the collision belong to the third component. Making use of the Boltzmann equation, hydrodynamical equations are derived. An equation of state for anisotropic nuclear matter obtained from a field theoretical model in mean field approximation is applied in a one dimensional version of the three-component fluid model. The speed of thermalization is analyzed and compared to the results of cascade and kinetic models. NUCLEAR REACTIONS Relativistic heavy-ion reactions, hydrodynamic description

A rövid hatású, szájon át adható morfinszármazékok hazai elérhetőségének elemzése

Absztrakt Az opiátalapú fájdalomcsillapítás igényes alkalmazásához hozzátartoznak a rövid hatású, szájon át adható gyógyszerek. Magyarországon a rövid hatású morfinszármazékok korábban nem terjedtek el széles körben, majd átmenetileg, három évig, teljesen hiányoztak a gyógyszerpiacról. A rövid hatású morfin-szulfát 2015. december óta ismét elérhetővé vált. A visszatekintő analízis célja, hogy a korábbi piaci hiány okainak részletes elemzése révén elősegítse az immár rendelkezésre álló gyógyszer hozzáférhetőségét minden rászoruló beteg számára. Az orvosi morfinhasználat sok szereplő összehangolt együttműködésén múlik. A szabályozó és finanszírozó hatóságokon, illetve a szakmai szervezeteken túl maguk a betegek és a véleményformáló média felelőssége is a helyes gyakorlat kialakítása. Orv. Potential of terrestrial laserscanning in load test measurements of bridges

    Get PDF
The state-of-the-art geodetic and remote sensing techniques can prove their potential through particular engineering applications. Besides the traditional surveying terrestrial laserscanning broadens its application field in civil engineering projects. The Department of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics has long experience in the measurement methods, accuracy analysis and applications of terrestrial laserscanning. This paper deals with the potential of the technology through the examples of load test measurements of Danube bridges. Prior to the particular bridge surveying projects accuracy analysis has been carried out in laboratory measurements, the results validated the accuracy and reliability of the laserscanned data. The paper discusses the complex measurement procedure, the main steps of the data processing and results. Remote sensing can provide data about specific (e.g. with limited accessibility) areas of the structure that cannot be measured with traditional techniques during the short period of the load test measurements. The post-processing includes comparison analysis using ground-based geodetic measurements (such as high precision leveling) as reference in defining displacements. By computing the accuracy measures of the terrestrial laserscanning the overall technology can be qualified and calibrated

Face dog clutch engagement at low mismatch speed

    Get PDF
Face dog clutches regain popularity in heavy duty AMT´s. Though the reduction of the speed difference between the dogs is the key to a smooth gear shift, the excellent engaging capability is experienced to degrade at low mismatch speed and the outcome of the engagement process becomes uncertain. Using a simple mechanical model, that uncertainty is described and the probability of the successful engagement is given as a function of the initial mismatch speed. Results are validated through statistical evaluation of measurement data

Study the effect of the tooth chamfer angle on the dog clutch shiftability

    Get PDF
This paper studies the shiftability of the face dog clutch with chamfered teeth. The effect of the chamfer angle on the shiftability map and the probability are studied. In contrast to previous studies, a generalized mathematical model is developed based on the shiftability condition. The analysis considered two sets of cases: the overlap distance cases, and the chamfer side cases. The overlap distance cases locate the successful engagement position. The chamfer side cases investigate the effect of the system geometry and consider two cases. The results show that the chamfer angle has a negative effect on the dog clutch shiftability. Some geometric parameters show a different effect on the engagement probability for the rectangular tooth and chamfered tooth cases, and this behaviour is also analysed

    Tailor-made cranioplasty using CAD-CAM technologies

    Get PDF
Treatment of traumatic head injuries and various neurosurgical conditions sometimes includes a removal of a large part of the cranial bone. Later on, the formed crane window must be closed with an implant. In this paper we present a method that allows producing implants of any size and complexity, with accurate fit and relatively low manufacturing cost. The implants are finalized upon virtual verification and need short operations to built in the cranial bone. The method can be used also for changing existing implants. DOI: 10.17489/biohun/2013/1/1

    MODELLING OF GEAR CHANGING BEHAVIOUR

    Get PDF
This paper deals with the modelling of the gear changing behaviour. After presentation of the main synchronizer tasks, the state of the art is described. Reconsideration of the gear changing process allows better definition of synchronizer working phases. Based on this, a numerical simulation software of the synchronizer behaviour has been realized. Phenomena of angular velocity synchonization and second bump in gear changing force are modelled in details. Various mechanical behaviour influencing phenomena are taken into consideration with large number of input parameters. The software is validated with literature data. Then, it is used to investigate the effect of main parameters considered with gear changing process for a 5 speed manual car gearbox. Effects of gear changing force, synchronized inertia and initial angular velocity difference variations are shown. Visualization of parameter effects such as angle error of synchronizer cone and relative position of gear splines and sleeve splines help for better understanding of gearbox behaviour during gear changing
