Perehdytyskansio psykiatrian yksikköön

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli päivittää olemassa oleva perehdytyskansio Vaasan keskussairaalan psykiatriselle osastolle. Lisäksi kansioon tuotettiin uusi osio omahoitajuudesta. Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen osuus koostuu hoitotyön perehdytyksestä sekä omahoitajuudesta psykiatrisessa hoitotyössä. Työssä toteutettiin tutkimus, jonka tehtävänä oli selvittää omahoitajuuden merkitys psykiatrisessa hoitotyössä, omahoitajuuden tehtävät osastolla, uuden hoitotyöntekijän perehdyttämisen menetelmät osastolla sekä omahoitajuuden kehittämisen mahdollisuudet. Perehdytyskansion omahoitaja osuus tuotettiin tutkimustulosten perusteella sekä teoriatieto käyttäen. Tutkimuksessa käytettiin kvalitatiivista tutkimusmenetelmää. Haastattelut toteutettiin teemahaastattelun avulla. Tutkimukseen osallistui kaksi psykiatrista sairaanhoitajaa osastolta, johon perehdytyskansio tehtiin. Aineisto analysoitiin sisällönanalyysilla Tutkimuksessa ilmeni omahoitajuuden olevan merkittävä hoitomenetelmä psykiatrisessa hoitotyössä. Omahoitaja on päävastuussa potilaan hoidosta ja sen etenemisestä. Omahoitajan tehtävät ovat laaja kokonaisuus. Omahoitajuutta voi kehittää monin eri keinoin, mutta pääasiassa omahoitajuus kehittyy ajan ja kokemuksen myötä.The purpose of this practice-based bachelor`s thesis is to update an existing orientation file for a psychiatric department of Vaasa Central Hospital. The existing orientation file was also completed with a chapter about primary nursing system. The theoretical frame of reference of the thesis consists of the concepts of orientation in the nursing and of primary nursing in psychiatric nursing. A study was carried out and the aim was to find out what the meaning of primary nursing in psychiatric nursing is, what the tasks of primary nurse are, which orientation methods are used and what the possibilities to develop primary nursing are. Research information and theory knowledge were used when writing the part about primary nursing. A qualitative method was used in this research. All the interviews were executed with theme interviews. There were two psychiatric nurses who took part in this research and the orientation file is based on them. The material was analyzed using content analysis. The results show that the primary nursing method is very essential in psychiatric nursing. The primary nurse is mostly responsible for the treatment of the patient and for the progression of the treatment. The tasks of a primary nurse are a large entity. There are many ways to develop the primary nursing but mainly it is improved with time and experience
