    <p>Patients were classified into 3 groups according to the ambient PM<sub>10</sub> class of their residence. Patients who resided in cities with Class 2 PM<sub>10</sub> pollution were classified in the <i>Low PM</i> group, while the <i>High PM</i> group included cases with Class 3 or higher PM<sub>10</sub> pollution. Patients living in areas with PM<sub>10</sub> concentrations that varied between Class 2 and Class 3 were classified as the <i>Medium PM g</i>roup.</p
