Research on household emergency supplies storage from the theory of planned behavior and intention-behavior gap in the context of COVID-19
IntroductionIn the context of COVID-19 epidemic, household-level emergency supplies are becoming a critical link in the national emergency response mechanism for public health emergencies. The main goal of this study is to analyze the forming process of household emergency supplies storage intention and behavior based on the theory of planned behavior.MethodsA total of 486 valid questionnaires were obtained from China and analyzed using structural equation modeling.ResultsThe study found that subjective norms and perceived behavioral control had a positive impact on residents’ intention to store emergency supplies, while attitudes did not play a significant role. Community institutional trust and community network play significant moderating roles in the transformation from intentions to behaviors.DiscussionThis study explored the influencing factors of residents’ household emergency supplies storage, and introduced community institutional trust and community network as moderating variables to analyze the process of transformation of residents’ household emergency supplies storage intentions to behaviors from the perspective of community situation, and initially constructed a two-stage integration model including intention formation and behavior transformation. By analyzing the forming process of household emergency supplies behavior, this paper revealed the effective paths for the formation of household emergency supplies storage intention, and put forward policy suggestions from the government and community levels

UBE2D3 Activates SHP-2 Ubiquitination to Promote Glycolysis and Proliferation of Glioma via Regulating STAT3 Signaling Pathway
Glioma is a primary brain cancer with high malignancy and morbidity. Current management for glioma cannot reach optimal remission. Therefore, it is necessary to find novel targets for glioma treatment. Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 D3 (UBE2D3) is involved in the pathogenesis of various kinds of cancer. However, its role in glioma remains unclear. Our study aims to explore the function and underlying mechanism of UBE2D3 in the development of glioma. By analysis with The Cancer Genome Atlas-Glioblastoma multiforme (TCGA-GBM) dataset, we found that UBE2D3 was highly expressed in glioma and it is positive correlation with glycolysis, apoptosis, and STAT3 pathway. Then, we explore the effects of UBE2D3 knockdown in the biological functions of glioma cell lines. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were estimated by cell counting kit-8 assay and flow cytometry. Extracellular acidification rate and oxygen consumption rate were estimated to determine the level of cell glycolysis. Xenograft experiments were performed to identify in vivo function of UBE2D3. The results showed that the inhibition of UBE2D3 could suppress the proliferation, glycolysis, and STAT3 phosphorylation of GBM both in vitro and in vivo. UBE2D3 could interact with SHP-2 and promoted its ubiquitination, which elevated the activation of STAT3 pathway. Overexpressed SHP-2 could reverse the effect of UBE2D3 and they shared contrary expression patterns in glioma and normal brain tissues. In summary, our study revealed that UBE2D3 could promote the ubiquitination of SHP-2, which activated STAT3 pathway and promoted glioma proliferation as well as glycolysis. UBE2D3 could be a potential target for glioma treatment.</jats:p

Spectral Characteristics and Quantitative Analysis of Troxerutin-Cu2+ Complex
[Objectives] This study aims to establish a simple, convenient, fast, low-cost, low-consumption and efficient method for quality control of troxerutin. [Methods] In NaAc-phosphate buffer at pH = 8, troxerutin could react with Cu2+ to form complex, which had a characteristic absorption peak at 408 nm in the ultraviolet spectrum. The content of troxerutin could be determined indirectly by measuring the absorbance of the complex. [Results] Within the linear range of 27.82 - 74.19 μg/mL, the absorbance of the complex has a good linear relationship with the concentration of troxerutin. The regression equation is A=0.011 9 C - 0. 138 4 (r = 0.999 1), and the detection limit is 1.59 μg/mL. This method is used to determine the content of troxerutin in samples from different manufacturers, and the recovery is 100.9%-102.7%. [Conclusions] The ultraviolet spectrophotometry is used in this experiment to indirectly determine the content of troxerutin by measuring the absorbance of troxerutin-Cu2+ complex, and the results are accurate, reproducible and highly precise. This method can be used for quantitative analysis of troxerutin
