The Tightness of the Kesten-Stigum Reconstruction Bound of Symmetric Model with Multiple Mutations

It is well known that reconstruction problems, as the interdisciplinary subject, have been studied in numerous contexts including statistical physics, information theory and computational biology, to name a few. We consider a 2q2q-state symmetric model, with two categories of qq states in each category, and 3 transition probabilities: the probability to remain in the same state, the probability to change states but remain in the same category, and the probability to change categories. We construct a nonlinear second order dynamical system based on this model and show that the Kesten-Stigum reconstruction bound is not tight when q≥4q \geq 4.Comment: Accepted, to appear Journal of Statistical Physic

One-loop QCD correction to top pair production in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity at the LHC

In this work, we investigate the one-loop QCD correction to top pair production in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity at the LHC. We calculate the relative correction of the top pair production cross section and top-antitop spin correlation at the LHC for s=8,14\sqrt{s}=8,14 TeV. We find that the relative corrections of top pair production cross section can reach about −0.35%-0.35\%, and the top-antitop spin correlation can reach 1.7%1.7\%(2%2\%) at the 8(14) TeV LHC in the favorable parameter space

LHC searches for the CP-odd Higgs by the jet substructure analysis

The LHC searches for the CP-odd Higgs boson is studied (with masses from 300 GeV to 1 TeV) in the context of the general two-Higgs-doublet model. With the discovery of the 125 GeV Higgs boson at the LHC, we highlight one promising discovery channel of the hZ. This channel can become significant after the global signal fitting to the 125 GeV Higgs boson in the general two-Higgs-doublet model. It is particularly important in the scenario where two CP-even Higgs bosons in the two-Higgs-doublet model have the common mass of 125 GeV. Since the final states involve a Standard-Model-like Higgs boson, we apply the jet substructure analysis of the fat Higgs jet in order to eliminate the Standard Model background sufficiently. After performing the kinematic cuts, we present the LHC search sensitivities for the CP-odd Higgs boson with mass up to 1 TeV via this channel.Comment: 26 pages, 12 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev.
