catena-Poly[[[(acetato-κ2 O,O′)cadmium]-μ-acetato-κ3 O,O′:O′-μ-{1,2-bisÂ[4-(pyridin-3-yl)pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanÂyl]ethane}-κ2 N 4,N 4′] trihydrate]
The title compound, {[Cd(CH3COO)2(C20H16N6S2)]·3H2O}n, exists as a one-dimensional zigzag polymer in which the CdII ion shows a seven-coordinate [CdO5N2] distorted pentaÂgonal–bipyramidal geometry with the N atoms in axial positions and an N—Cd—N angle of 176.94 (13)°. The metal atoms are bridged by 1,2-bisÂ[4-(pyridin-3-yl)pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanÂyl]ethane ligands, giving a polymeric chain extending along the b axis. Adjacent chains related by an inversion center are further bridged by Cd—O bonds formed between the O atom of one of the acetate ligands and the metal atom. The five Cd—O bond lengths are in the range 2.329 (3)–2.485 (3) Å. There are π–π stacking interÂactions between the aromatic rings of adjacent polymeric chains, the centroid–centroid distances being 3.556 (3) and 3.698 (3) Å, organizing the chains into a three-dimensional framework. This framework is additionally stabilized by extensive O—H⋯O and O—H⋯N hydrogen bonding between water molÂecules and the ligands
TriaquaÂchlorido[3-dimethylÂamino-1-(2-pyridÂyl)prop-2-en-1-one-κN 1]manganese(II) chloride
In the title compound, [MnCl(C10H12N2O)(H2O)3]Cl, the MnII ion has a distorted octaÂhedral coordination environment formed by one N and one O atom from the chelating 3-dimethylÂamino-1-(2-pyridÂyl)prop-2-en-1-one ligand, one chloride anion and three coordinated water molÂecules. InterÂmolecular O—H⋯O and O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions into layers parallel to the ac plane
Electronic chip cooling system using graphite fins
International audienceAs electronic devices get smaller, cooling systems with higher thermal efficiency is demanding by fast growing electronic industry. Great amount of research has been performed on the cooling systems but research on the materials of the cooling systems needs more work. Graphite with high thermal conductivity and light weight is a great candidate to be used in electronic devices. The bottleneck of using graphene in the cooling systems is the thermal transport among the interface from the substrate to the graphene fin system. In this research finite element simulation of graphite fin cooling system has been investigated to study the effect of different applied pressure on the cooling system performance. Study of this cooling system showed good improvement in comparison with common copper fin cooling systems. Introduction
Robust Disentangled Variational Speech Representation Learning for Zero-shot Voice Conversion
Traditional studies on voice conversion (VC) have made progress with parallel
training data and known speakers. Good voice conversion quality is obtained by
exploring better alignment modules or expressive mapping functions. In this
study, we investigate zero-shot VC from a novel perspective of self-supervised
disentangled speech representation learning. Specifically, we achieve the
disentanglement by balancing the information flow between global speaker
representation and time-varying content representation in a sequential
variational autoencoder (VAE). A zero-shot voice conversion is performed by
feeding an arbitrary speaker embedding and content embeddings to the VAE
decoder. Besides that, an on-the-fly data augmentation training strategy is
applied to make the learned representation noise invariant. On TIMIT and VCTK
datasets, we achieve state-of-the-art performance on both objective evaluation,
i.e., speaker verification (SV) on speaker embedding and content embedding, and
subjective evaluation, i.e., voice naturalness and similarity, and remains to
be robust even with noisy source/target utterances.Comment: Accepted to 2022 ICASS
DiaquaÂdibromidobis[3-dimethylÂamino-1-(4-pyridyl-κN)prop-2-en-1-one]cadmium(II)
In the title compound, [CdBr2(C10H12N2O)2(H2O)2], the CdII ion is located on an inversion center and is six-coordinated by two N atoms [Cd—N = 2.377 (3) Å] from two different 3-dimethylÂamino-1-(4-pyridÂyl)prop-2-en-1-one ligands, two O atoms [Cd—O = 2.355 (2) Å] from two coordinated water molÂecules and two bromide anions [Cd—Br = 2.6855 (5) Å]. InterÂmolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molÂecules into layers parallel to the bc plane
