Investigating the NCQ scaling of elliptic flow at LHC with a multiphase transport model

The number of constituent quark (NCQ) scaling behavior of elliptic flow has been systematically studied at the LHC energy within the framework of a multiphase transport model (AMPT) in this work. We find that the parameters used to generate the initial states and the collision centrality are important for the existence of NCQ scaling even when hadronic rescattering contribution is off in Pb-Pb collisions of sNN=2.76\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76 TeV. By turning on the hadron rescattering process, the hadronic evolution impacts are also found to be significant. Extending the analysis to Pb-Pb collsions of sNN=5.02\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02 TeV, one would observe similar qualitative features

AbstractVaccinia virus (VACV) strain TianTan was used for much of China's modern history to vaccinate against smallpox, however the only genome sequence contains errors. We have sequenced additional examples of TianTan to obtain a better picture of this important virus. We detected two different subclones. One (TP03) encodes large deletions in the terminal repeats that extend into both VEGF genes and create a small plaque variant. The second clone (TP05) encodes a nearly intact complement of genes in the terminal repeats, except for an insertion of sequences resembling the telomeric 69bp repeats. The TP05 genome spans 196,260bp and encodes 219 genes. The revised sequence documents the integrity of all the genes in the conserved virus core. Phylogenetic methods show that TianTan belongs to a unique clade of VACV, but probably also share a common origin with strains belonging to the Copenhagen/Lister lineage and distinct from the Wyeth/Dryvax lineage

Study on the extraction method of transverse open crack’s information

For the fault rotor – bearing system caused by transverse open crack. The dynamic model of crack rotor system is established by the crack compliance coefficient matrix which is derived from the stress intensity factor and strain energy density function. The stiffness matrix of rotor system which contains transverse crack faults is different from the health rotor. So the surplus dynamics equation of cracked rotor system can be deduced by comparing the dynamics equations of the crack fault and health rotor system, which is on the basis of getting the compliance coefficient matrix. Furthermore, the information of open crack’s location and crack’s depth can be extracted from the vibration signal by analyzing force condition on both ends of the shaft segment where crack exist and combining with the residual dynamic equation. The extraction method for crack information only needs to collect the vibration signals of the three different node positions under two different speeds. Finally, the feasibility of the method can be verified with simulation and experiment
