    Enlightenment on the Crisis of Confucian Hermeneutics in Song Dynasty and the Establishment of the Ultimate Concern in Confucianism

    “Scholars are determined to follow Dao.” Confucianists conform to “Dao”, which transcends their realm of cognition. “Dao” is inevitably represented through the medium of the “studies” on Confucianism. Therefore, the Confucian Hermeneutics as the ultimate concern for the Confucianists is designed to be Existential Hermeneutics from the very beginning, part of which is the Technical Hermeneutics. When Zhu Xi set a self-evident Absolute Presupposition for the benevolent Dao with his hermeneutics about “heart-nature-reason”, the ultimate concern in Confucianism which the Confucianists had been seeking was fully established on an ontological sense.     The Authority and Construction of the Confucian Classics Hermeneuticst

    Confucian Classics, The Thirteen Ching, have been regarded as Canon in the traditional Chinese hermeneutics. Confucian scholars’ultimate telos is to understand the significance of Confucian Classics. The Confucian Classics hermeneutics, which is related to Confucian scholars’ultimate concern, has not been served entirely as the theory of the art of interpretation but the ontological hermeneutics from the beginning.However, it is the interpretation that has given and established its authority. And, it requires a hermeneutical reflection of some sophistication to discover how it is possible to acquire and regain its scholarly legitimacy in Chinese history. The Confucian Classics had been understood and interpreted in a different way by Confucian scholars, in fact, it is a kind of transmission and sharing of a unified belief in Confucian Tao and Sheng.     Rosmarinic Acid Prevents Cisplatin-Induced Liver and Kidney Injury by Inhibiting Inflammatory Responses and Enhancing Total Antioxidant Capacity, Thereby Activating the Nrf2 Signaling Pathway

    Drug-induced liver and kidney damage is an emergent clinical issue that should be addressed. Rosmarinic acid (RA) has obvious anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, so we evaluated the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of RA pretreatment on serum and liver and kidney tissues of cisplatin (CP)-treated mice and explored the possible mechanisms. The results showed that RA pretreatment effectively downregulated the serum, liver, and kidney levels of ALT, AST, BUN, and CRE and the inflammatory factors IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α, and simultaneously enhanced the total antioxidant capacity of the liver and kidney. RA pretreatment significantly reduced the levels of MPO, MDA, and NO in liver and kidney tissue, inhibited the mRNA expression of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in liver and kidney tissue, activated the Nrf2 signaling pathway, and upregulated the mRNA expression of downstream target genes.     Low Peak-to-Average Power Ratio FBMC-OQAM System based on Data Mapping and DFT Precoding

    Filter bank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC-OQAM) is an alternative to OFDM for enhanced spectrum flexible usage. To reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), DFT spreading is usually adopted in OFDM systems. However, in FBMC-OQAM systems, because the OQAM pre-processing splits the spread data into the real and imaginary parts, the DFT spreading can result in only marginal PAPR reduction. This letter proposes a novel map-DFT-spread FBMC-OQAM scheme. In this scheme, the transmitting data symbols are first mapped with a conjugate symmetry rule and then coded by the DFT. According to this method, the OQAM pre-processing can be avoided. Compared with the simple DFT-spread scheme, the proposed scheme achieves a better PAPR reduction. In addition, the effect of the prototype filter on the PAPR is studied via numerical simulation and a trade-off exists between the PAPR and out-of-band performances

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>AtKinesin-13A is an internal-motor kinesin from Arabidopsis (<it>Arabidopsis thaliana</it>). Previous immunofluorescent results showed that AtKinesin-13A localized to Golgi stacks in plant cells. However, its precise localization and biological function in Golgi apparatus is unclear.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>In this paper, immunofluorescent labeling and confocal microscopic observation revealed that AtKinesin-13A was co-localized with Golgi stacks in Arabidopsis root tip cells. Immuno-electron microscopic observations indicated that AtKinesin-13A is primarily localized on Golgi-associated vesicles in Arabidopsis root-cap cells. By T-DNA insertion, the inactivation of the <it>AtKinesin-13A </it>gene (NM-112536) resulted in a sharp decrease of size and number of Golgi vesicles in root-cap peripheral cells. At the same time, these cells were vacuolated in comparison to the corresponding cells of the wild type.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>These results suggest that AtKinesin-13A decorates Golgi-associated vesicles and may be involved in regulating the formation of Golgi vesicles in the root-cap peripheral cells in Arabidopsis.</p

    A Study of Molecular Interface of Grass-Herbivory Interaction in Grass

    Grass-herbivore interaction is a complex process that involves wounding effects caused by herbivore feeding, defoliation effects due to leaf-surface loss during grazing, and the deposition of herbivore saliva onto the surface of plants (Chen et al., 2009). Wounding can stimulate plant growth but clearly differs from grazing (Mattiacci et al., 1995). Defoliation affects root development in grasses and alters the carbohydrate-metabolism pathway in rice. Saliva has been found to stimulate plant growth, enhance tiller and increase biomass. However, little is known about the molecular mechanisms of plant responses to grazing in molecular level. In our previous transcriptome studies, many genes relating with grazing were identified from sheepgrass (Li et al., 2013). In last IGC report, we proposed the concept of “molecular interface on grass-herbivore interaction” (Liu et al., 2013) to understand the interaction between plant and large herbivories on molecular level, which has significant importance on agriculture and grassland conservation.     Impact of Channel Aging on Massive MIMO Vehicular Networks in Non-isotropic Scattering Scenarios

    Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) relies on accurate channel estimation for precoding and receiving to achieve its claimed performance advantages. When serving vehicular users, the rapid channel aging effect greatly hinders its advantages, and a careful system design is required to ensure an efficient use of wireless resources. In this paper, we investigate this problem for the first time in a non-isotropic scattering scenario. The von Mises distribution is adopted for the angle of arrival (AoA), resulting in a tunable channel temporal correlation coefficient (TCC) model, which can adapt to different AoA spread conditions through the k parameter and incorporates the isotropic Jakes-Clarke model as a special case. The simulated results in a Manhattan grid-type multi-cell network clearly demonstrate the impact of channel aging on the uplink spectral efficiency (SE) performance and moreover, in order to maximize the area average SE, the size of the transmission block should be optimally selected according to some linear equations of k
