Relationship between single-nucleotide polymorphisms in un-translated region of human leukocyte antigen-G and preeclampsia
Purpose: The aim of this study was to unravel the link between human leukocyte antigen-G untranslated region (HLA-G 3-UTR) single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and preeclampsia by examining polymorphisms in HLA-G 3-UTR in preeclampsia patients and their newborns, as well as those of women with normal pregnancy and their newborns. Methods: Single pregnant mothers and their newborns at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, China, were divided into preeclampsia group (144 cases), and normal pregnancy group (122 cases). Blood samples from the two groups were collected for DNA extraction, and the DNA samples were analyzed for HLA-G 3'-UTR SNP by polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and direct sequencing method. Results: The frequency of CG genotype in HLA-G 3-UTR 3127 gene in the preeclampsia group was significantly lower, while the frequency of AA genotype in HLA-G 3-UTR 3172 gene in the preeclampsia group was significantly higher (p < 0.05) when compared with the normal pregnancy group. Furthermore, frequencies of the compatible genotype AA/AA (mothers/newborns) in HLA-G 3-UTR 3172 gene in the preeclampsia group were significantly higher relative to the normal pregnancy group (p< 0.05).Conclusion: These results suggest that when CC/GG is the compatible genotype in HLA-G 3-UTR 3127 gene of mothers/newborns, preeclampsia risk may decrease, but it may increase if the compatible genotype is AA/AA. Thus, SNP in HLA-G 3-UTR 3127 gene may be a protective factor against preeclampsia in Chinese Han pregnant women, while SNP in 3172 gene may be associated with susceptibility to preeclampsia. Keywords: Single-nucleotide polymorphisms, Human leukocyte antigen-G, Un-translated Region, Preeclampsi
Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma of the kidney: A case report
We report a 41-year-old Chinese woman with intravascular large B-cell lymphoma diagnosed by percutaneous renal biopsy. The patient was admitted to Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China with complaints of high spiking fever for a month and bilateral lower limb fatigue with difficulty ambulating for the past 5 months
Particle transfer and fusion cross-section for Super-heavy nuclei in dinuclear system
Within the dinuclear system (DNS) conception, instead of solving
Fokker-Planck Equation (FPE) analytically, the Master equation is solved
numerically to calculate the fusion probability of super-heavy nuclei, so that
the harmonic oscillator approximation to the potential energy of the DNS is
avoided. The relative motion concerning the energy, the angular momentum, and
the fragment deformation relaxations is explicitly treated to couple with the
diffusion process, so that the nucleon transition probabilities, which are
derived microscopically, are time-dependent. Comparing with the analytical
solution of FPE, our results preserve more dynamical effects. The calculated
evaporation residue cross sections for one-neutron emission channel of Pb-based
reactions are basically in agreement with the known experimental data within
one order of magnitude.Comment: 19 pages, plus 6 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev.
Dynamic characteristics of aero-engine’s rotor under large maneuvering flight
In view of the large maneuvering overload of the rotor system in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), the dynamic characteristics of rotor system under large maneuvering overload conditions were analyzed in this paper. The finite element model of rotor system under large maneuvering overload was first established by Timoshenko beam element theory and finite element method. The motion differential equations of the rotor system were derived by Lagrange equation, and the additional damping matrix, stiffness matrix and excitation force were obtained. Critical speeds and unbalance response were calculated by characteristic equation method and Newmark-β numerical integration method respectively. The calculation results showed that the additional damping and stiffness leaded the critical speeds of the rotor system to change under large maneuvering flight, and the additional excitation force resulted in a certain static displacement of the whirling orbits
