Research Notes : Protein content in grain and lysine content in protein of soybean mutants, induced by chemical mutagens and gamma rays

During the study of genetic activity of a number of chemical and physical mutagens about 1000 morphological mutants of different types were derived. Such mutagens as nitrosomethyl urea (NMU), nitrosoethyl urea (NEU), ethylenimine (EI), ethylenoxide (EO), nitrosodirnethyl urea (NDMU), dimethyl-sulfate (DMS), and gaunna rays were used. As the initial material for mutations induction, varieties \u27Lanka\u27, \u27Hybrid 89-10\u27, \u27Kirovogradskaya 4\u27, \u27VNEEMK 9186\u27 and \u27Peremoga\u27 were used

Formation of neuro-glio-capillary relation in neurohypophysis on different stages of postnatal period of ontogenesis

Although the row of works is devoted to ontogenesis of hypophysis, a question on what stage of ontogenesis hypothalamic-neyrohypophysal system starts its functions is rather controversial and needs subsequent study. Therefore, our purpose was to research the patterns of becoming neyro-glio-capillary correlations of the posterior lobe of hypophysis on the stages of postnatal ontogenesis. The material for research were the pieces of neurohypophysis of 40 white purebred rats of males in age: new-born, 7, 45 and 90 days after birth. At the fence of material for electron microscopic research the generally accepted rules of speed of carving are observed and not traumatic. The research of ultrastructure of neurohypophysis of white rats showed that on the first week of their life the amount of axon-vessel synapses and neurosecretory granules had increased, among which a zonality of situation of different types of them is observed, that testifies to completion of neurosecretory structures formation. Submicroscopic structure of sinus capillaries in this term specifies on their high functional activity, in particular, about an enhanceable transendothelial transport. Thus, our research allows to draw a conclusion, that already dur-ing the first week of life in the structure of neurohypophysis of rats substantial high-quality and quantitative changes take place, which testify to completion of becoming of its neurosecretory structures and on later stages of postnatal development they are only perfected

Research Notes : The lectin content in different varieties of soybean in connection with improving nutritive qualities

The nutritional value of soybean protein is reduced in certain rate by inhibitors of tripsin, chemotripsin and lectins, too. Proteins that are capable of linking surface structures of erythrocytes and other type of cells to cause their agglutination, are called phytohemagglutinins or lec-tins. Moreover, they form complexes with many polysaccharides.</p
