Modern condition of labor migration from Ukraine to the EU and the prospects for its regulation
The analysis of state and development dynamics of labour migration from Ukraine to the EU made in the context of: gender, age, level of education, country of destination, sector of employment and so on. Special attention is paid to the migration to Poland as the host country of the highest, among EU countries, of labour migrants from Ukraine. It also evaluated individual aspects of migration of Ukrainian youth in the EU countries with the aim of obtaining higher education. The obtained results can be used as an information base for the development of a system of measures of state poliks in the field of labour migration
Price increase negotiations to address drug shortages in South Koreaβs national health insurance
South Korea has adopted a unique approach to address drug shortages by increasing reimbursement prices within its National Health Insurance Service. This study aims to analyze the characteristics, increase rates, affecting factors, and budget impacts of products that have increased price through the negotiation system. Between 2007 and 2022, there were price increase negotiations over 244 items. Of these, price increase negotiations were successful for 217 items, resulting in an agreement rate of 89%. The average rate of price increase for the agreed-upon products was 37.8%, and the overall budget increase for drugs with price increases (n = 217) was approximately 24.5%. Budget impact of each variable of the negotiated agreements showed that the number of negotiated agreement items was smaller after 2015 than before 2015, but each total budget impact (initial budget, increased budget, and final budget) and the average budget impact were higher. Although domestic companies accounted for a larger overall budget, the average budget per item was larger for multinational companies. The correlation analysis of the ratio of price increase and budget impact variables showed that the ratio of price increase was positively and significantly correlated with the increased budget, while it was negatively but not significantly correlated with the initial and final budgets. The South Korean model of increasing reimbursement prices in public insurance for drugs at risk of shortages serves as an exemplary case for not only securing patient access but also considering budget management

A STUDY ON THE LONG-TERM MONITORING OF SPORTS ACTIVITIES
INTRODUCTION: Lots of studies to analyze and classify human movement patterns using various sensors have been carried out (Mathie, 2004; Allen, 2006) because accurate information of body activity is required to provide promotion of health and health plan. Thus this study was conducted to study the classification and monitoring of various sports activities in real-time environment using single waist mounted tri-axial accelerometer
Soil Water Content Regression Analysis of Measurement Data from Hyperspectral Camera in Weathered Granite Soils
Soil water content is one of the most common physical parameters that cause landslides or debris flow. Therefore, it is of very importance to determine or predict the water content quickly and non-destructively. This study investigates the hyperspectral information in the visible near-infrared regions (VNIR) of different samples of granite soils possessing varying water content. Totally 162 granite samples were taken from each mountain area. The samples with different water contents were examined using a hyperspectral radiometer operating in the 400~1000nm range by obtaining the spectral curves. It was found that the variation of VNIR is consistent with the water content variation of weathered granite soils, and the hyperspectral camera was able to detect it. A Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) analysis was applied to develop a calibration-model. The PLSR model resulted in a good correlation between the water content and VNIR profile. The results demonstrate that the hyperspectral camera combined with the PLSR model can be a useful and non-destructive tool for determining soil water contents in the weathered granite soils
Analysis of Long-Range Transport of Carbon Dioxide and Its High Concentration Events over East Asian Region Using GOSAT Data and GEOS-Chem Modeling
This study aims to evaluate the long-range transport of CO2 in East Asian region, using concentration data in a surface measurement site (Gosan Station), column averaged concentration data of satellite-borne instrument (GOSAT), and GEOS-Chem modeling results for the period of June 2009 to May 2011. We perform a validation of the data from GOSAT and GEOS-Chem with total column observations (TCCON). The analysis of the long-range transport and high concentration (HC) events using surface/satellite observations and modeling results is conducted. During the HC events, the concentrations in CO2 and other air pollutants such as SO2 and CO are higher than that of all episodes. It means that CO2, known as a globally well-mixed gas, may also act as a fingerprint of human activity with unique regional characteristics like other air pollutants. This comprehensive analysis, in particular with GOSAT CO2 observation data, shows that CO2 plume with high concentration can be long-range transported with 1-2 days' duration with regional scale. We can find out with GEOS-Chem tagging simulation that more than 45% of the elevated CO2 concentration over central/eastern China, Korea, and Japan on high concentration days can be explained by emission sources of East Asia mainland.open0
CHANGES IN MUSCLE ACTIVITY PATTERN IN LOWER LIMB EXTREMITY DURING PEDALLING BY SADDLE HEIGHT
As a preliminary study for a preferential saddle height for cyclist, muscle activity pattern in lower limb extremity between preferred and higher saddle height during pedalling was compared. Seven cyclists performed 3 min sub-maximal pedalling under two different saddle heights. Range of motion (ROM) of muscle length, onset-timing of muscle activity, and amount of muscle activity in biceps femoris (BF), vastus lateralis (VL), gastrocnemius (GM), and tibialis anterior muscles (TA) were used to compare changes in muscle activity pattern due to saddle height. Results showed that there was a significant difference in ROM of VL and that of TA (
