Light scalar mesons as tetraquarks within QCD Sum Rules

We examine the interpretation of the light scalar meson nonet as tetraquark states using QCD sum rules. With the interpolating current for the tetraquark states composed of scalar diquark and scalar antidiquark, first, we construct the QCD sum rules by means of the operator product expansion up to the operators of dimension 8 and show that there is no evidence of the coupling of the tetraquark states to the light scalar meson nonet. In order to have a stable sum rule, we propose a "good" interpolating current for the tetraquarks based on chirality arguments which includes scalar and pseudoscalar diquark--antidiquarks with equal weights. In particular, for the lowest tetraquark $\sigma$--meson, we perform detail analysis of the QCD sum rule and obtain mass for the $\sigma(600)$ around 780 MeV.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figure, Talk at the Yukawa International Seminar (YKIS) 2006, "New frontiers in QCD", Kyoto, Japa

Exploring Family Caregivers’ Subjective Experience of Positive Aspects in Home-Based Elder Caregiving: From Korean Family Caregivers’ Experience

Recently research has identified positive dimensions of the caregiving experience. However, there is still a dearth of research into positive aspects of home-based family caregiving for older adults in various cultural contexts. This exploratory study seeks to expand our knowledge in this area by exploring the positive experience of Korean family caregivers who cared for older adults with frailty at home and how they can transform their caregiving experience into positive one despite of many challenges. Eighteen family caregivers were explored through semi-structured in-depth interviews. Participants reported several positive aspects from their home-based elder caregiving experience. The positive aspects were categorized into three groups; relational aspects, personal aspects, and spiritual aspects. Findings indicate that Koran family caregivers of older adults in this study perceive that caregiving experience is challenging but also offers an opportunity for gains

Storytelling of the Korean traditional dance The Hahoe Mask using interactive multimedia

The project, Storytelling of Korean traditional dance \u27The Hahoe mask\u27 is the cultural collection using interactive multimedia. It provides a way to keep our intangible properties and interpret Korean cultural performances to users who are interested in Korean culture. This thesis is developed in two categories: three stories and one game. The three stories are the Mudong Play, the Monk Play and the Yangban Play and the game is the Butcher\u27s shooting game, referring to the Peakchong Play. This project has presented a way to keep Korean cultural resources in an entertaining and user-friendly way. Through this project, users can participate in storytelling as if facing with real cultural events and can be exposed to creative aspects, not only to develop valuable cultural experiences but to rediscover our hidden cultural values

AN ANALYSIS OF VALUE-ADDED AGRICULTURAL EXPORTS TO MIDDLE-INCOME DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: THE CASE OF WHEAT AND BEEF PRODUCTS

This study determined probable future directions in U.S. value-added agricultural exports to middle-income developing countries (MIDCs) under the assumption of continued income growth. Import share equations for U.S. bulk, semi-processed and value-added wheat or beef products, as a percent of total U.S. wheat or beef product exports to each MIDC, were econometrically estimated using the ordinary least squares (OLS) technique. The empirical results indicate that in most MIDCs, increases in real per capita income have negative effects on the import share of processed wheat products while having positive effects on the import share of bulk wheat. However, import shares of U.S. processed beef products are likely to increase with income growth in most MIDCs.International Relations/Trade,
