Changes in the Outdoor Wear Market: Focused on the South Korean Market
People have become interested in wellness and health, which has led to well-being trends and increased participation in activities. Therefore, the outdoor wear market has shown growth for several years. However, the outdoor wear market of South Korea is becoming saturated. Moreover, Outdoor wear consumers are tired of same design products. The sportswear companies are trying to develop athleisure products. Therefore, it is time to develop outdoor products for emotional approach. According to results, when consumers purchase outdoor wear, they consider the functionality of the materials more than they do when purchasing ordinary clothes. Outdoor wear consumers\u27 pursued images were classified into three types: urban, minimalist, and active. Outdoor wear selection criteria were classified into two types: instrumental function and expressive function. Outdoor wear brands need to qualify their products functionally and meet their segmented consumers\u27 demands by developing products depending on their image from the planning stage
Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Insulin Biosynthesis: A Review
Insulin resistance and pancreatic beta cell dysfunction are major contributors to the pathogenesis of diabetes. Various conditions play a role in the pathogenesis of pancreatic beta cell dysfunction and are correlated with endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Pancreatic beta cells are susceptible to ER stress. Many studies have shown that increased ER stress induces pancreatic beta cell dysfunction and diabetes mellitus using genetic models of ER stress and by various stimuli. There are many reports indicating that ER stress plays an important role in the impairment of insulin biosynthesis, suggesting that reduction of ER stress could be a therapeutic target for diabetes. In this paper, we reviewed the relationship between ER stress and diabetes and how ER stress controls insulin biosynthesis
Large area deep ultraviolet light of AlGaN/AlGaN multi quantum well with carbon nanotube electron beam pumping
Large area deep ultraviolet (DUV) light is generated by carbon nanotube (CNT) cold cathode electron beam (C-beam) irradiation on AlGaN/AlGaN multi quantum wells (MQWs) anode. We developed areal electron beam (EB) with CNT cold cathode emitters. The CNT emitters on silicon wafer were deposited with an area of 188 mm , and these were vertically aligned and had conical structures. We optimized the C-beam irradiation conditions to effectively excite AlGaN MQWs. When AlGaN MQWs were excited using an anode voltage of 3 kV and an anode current of 0.8 mA, DUV with a wavelength of 278.7 nm was generated in a large area of 303 mm . This DUV area is more than 11 times larger than the light emitting area of conventional EB pumped light sources and UV-LEDs
[5-Hydroxy-3-phenyl-1-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrazol-5-olato]diphenylboron
In the title compound, C26H20BN3O, the B atom has tetrahedral geometry and is linked to two phenyl rings, the O atom of the hydroxypyrazole ring and the N atom of the pyridinyl ring. A six-membered BOCNCN ring forms by coordination of the B atom and the pyridinyl N atom. The BOCNCN ring has an envelope conformation [dihedral angle = 36.7 (1)° between the planar ring atoms and the flap] with the B atom out of the plane. In the 1-(2-pyridinyl)-3-phenyl-5-hydroxypyrazole group, the pyridinyl ring, the phenyl ring and the pyrazole ring are almost coplanar: the pyrazole ring makes a dihedral angle of 9.56 (8)° with the pyridinyl ring and 17.68 (7)° with the phenyl ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by π–π stacking interactions involving the pyridinyl and pyrazole rings of centrosymmetrically related molecules, with ring centroid separations of 3.54 (5) Å
Phylogenetic analysis and characterization of Korean orf virus from dairy goats: case report
An outbreak of orf virus infection in dairy goats in Korea was investigated. Suspected samples of the skin and lip of affected goats were sent to the laboratory for more exact diagnosis. Orf virus was detected by electron microscopy and viral DNA was identified by PCR. To reveal the genetic characteristics of the Korean strain (ORF/09/Korea), the sequences of the major envelope protein (B2L) and orf virus interferon resistance (VIR) genes were determined and then compared with published reference sequences. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the ORF/09/Korea strain was closest to the isolates (Taiping) from Taiwan. This is believed to be the first report on the molecular characterization of orf virus in Korea
The Chemical Compositions of Very Metal-Poor Stars HD 122563 and HD 140283; A View From the Infrared
From high resolution (R = 45,000), high signal-to-noise (S/N > 400) spectra
gathered with the Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrograph (IGRINS) in the H and
K photometric bands, we have derived elemental abundances of two bright,
well-known metal-poor halo stars: the red giant HD 122563 and the subgiant HD
140283. Since these stars have metallicities approaching [Fe/H] = -3, their
absorption features are generally very weak. Neutral-species lines of Mg, Si, S
and Ca are detectable, as well as those of the light odd-Z elements Na and Al.
The derived IR-based abundances agree with those obtained from
optical-wavelength spectra. For Mg and Si the abundances from the infrared
transitions are improvements to those derived from shorter wavelength data.
Many useful OH and CO lines can be detected in the IGRINS HD 122563 spectrum,
from which derived O and C abundances are consistent to those obtained from the
traditional [O I] and CH features. IGRINS high resolutions H- and K-band
spectroscopy offers promising ways to determine more reliable abundances for
additional metal-poor stars whose optical features are either not detectable,
or too weak, or are based on lines with analytical difficulties.Comment: Accepted for publication in ApJ (28 pages, 4 tables, 6 figures
