    Alongside internal quality assurance measures, external quality assessment serves as a mechanism to ensure the quality of education in Vietnam, proven to offer various opportunities (enrollment, research collaboration, technology transfer, etc.) as relevant parties become aware of and trust in the educational institution's quality. Consequently, the impact of educational quality assessment prompts systematic quality assurance activities within the university, yielding high results based on post-assessment expert recommendations. However, among the university activities in Vietnam, scientific and technological management has been identified as one of the few standards with a relatively low average score [1], [2]. Proposing a suitable research model to assess the influence of educational quality assessment on the scientific and technological management of autonomous universities in Vietnam will assist these institutions in identifying crucial elements of scientific and technological management. This will facilitate the implementation of more feasible activities to ensure the quality of these operations, contributing significantly to the overall educational quality of the institution

The Tay and Nung ethnic communities in Cao Bang province are among the ethnic minority groups in Vietnam, with rich cultural and social lives that hold significant importance in tourism development. The traditional cultural values of the Tay and Nung people deeply embody the cultural identity of the ethnic group and represent a rich cultural potential in the tourism development of Cao Bang province. Successfully managing the relationship between preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of the Tay and Nung people in Cao Bang province in connection with sustainable tourism development will contribute to changing livelihoods, enhancing the quality of life for the people, and ensuring the sustainable development of the country

    Hematological parameters of red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) fed lemongrass essential oil (Cymbopogon citratus) after challenge with Streptococcus agalactiae

    The study involved feeding lemongrass essential oil (LEO) supplements to red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) at concentrations including Control - 0 mg, T1 – 200 mg, T2 – 300 mg, and T3 – 400 mg per kg of feed. The research investigated changes in hematological (HCT, Hb, RBC, WBC & thrombocytes) and erythrocyte’s morphological (major/minor axis; perimeter, and area of erythrocyte) parameters before infection, 5- and 10-days post-infection (DPI). According to analytical findings, a diet containing LEO enhanced the synthesis of both erythrocytes and leukocytes in the peripheral blood of red tilapia after 20 days of being used. Therefore, the indicators of this group of fish showed better performance than those that did not use LEO supplement five days after bacterial infection. Fish fed 200 mg/kg of LEO after being challenged with S. agalactiae for ten days showed an improved effect on red blood cell production. White blood cells decreased at all concentrations because of citral’s immunomodulatory properties

    A Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA) is an important management tool for biodiversity protection of a marine area. At the time of designation of a Particularly Sensitive Sea Area, an associated protective measure, which meets the requirements of the appropriate legal instrument establishing such measure, must have been approved or adopted by IMO to prevent, reduce, or eliminate the threat or identified vulnerability. Information on each of the Particularly Sensitive Sea Areas (PSSAs) that has been designated by IMO is available on the nautical chart. The Vietnam’s coastal zones and islands are the isolated oceanic habitat of extremely rich marine life in very good condition which is important to the maintenance and dispersal of the marine life of the western tropical Pacific. Vietnam coastal areas are very high risk areas affected by maritime activities, particularly international shipping, therefore in the future identification of some Particularly Sensitive Sea Areas (PSSAs) is necessary.     Density Functional Based Tight Binding Study on Wurzite ZnS Nanowires

    We present a semi-abinitio - Density Functional Based Tight Binding (DFTB) study on the atomic and electronic structure of ZnS Nanowire (NW) and examine the dependence of surface stress on nanowire lateral size and shape. The ZnS wurtzite wire size ranges from 10 to 45Å and of various possible shapes - triangular, hexagonal and circular-like. We investigate the role of unsaturated dangling bond state in the region of band gap varying the wire's diameter. We have calculated the surface formation energy and find that it decreases with increasing the wire diameter and a greater stability (lower surface formation energy) comes with hexagonal and circular-like depending on wire's diameter. Other electronics and mechanical properties e.g. density of states (DOS), Young modulus...  also are found to depend on the wire's size and shape.     Straightforward Procedure for Laboratory Production of DNA Ladder

    DNA ladder is commonly used to determine the size of DNA fragments by electrophoresis in routine molecular biology laboratories. In this study, we report a new procedure to prepare a DNA ladder that consists of 10 fragments from 100 to 1000 bp. This protocol is a combination of routinely employed methods: cloning, PCR, and partial digestion with restriction enzymes. DNA fragments of 100 bp with unique restriction site at both ends were self-ligated to create a tandem repeat. Once being cloned, the tandem repeat was rapidly amplified by PCR and partially digested by restriction enzymes to produce a ladder containing multimers of the repeated DNA fragments. Our procedure for production of DNA ladder could be simple, time saving, and inexpensive in comparison with current ones widely used in most laboratories

    THE IMPACT OF INNOVATION ON ECONOMIC GROWTH: THE SPILLOVER EFFECT OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT

    Purpose of the study: Innovation is seen as the key to improving quality and productivity, thereby promoting competition and economic growth. This study analyzes the impact of innovation on economic growth through various measures, such as research and development spending, the number of researchers, number of patents as well as trademark registrations. Research results are evidence to recommend policies for intellectual-based economic growth. Methodology: Literature review and empirical analysis conducted in the study. The empirical method is a two-step System Generalize Methods of Moments (GMM), aiming at reliable results. Accessing the World Bank Database, research data from 64 developed and developing countries are collected from 2006 to 2014. Main Findings: The empirical findings show that innovation plays a crucial contribution in promoting economic growth, similar to national openness and government spending on education. This study also finds a positive impact on foreign investment flows and their spillover role in enhancing the correlation between innovation and economic growth. Applications of this study: The findings of this study focus on the contributions of innovation, foreign direct investment inflows, and other macro factors that can be enforced to improve economic growth by policymakers. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study uses different measures of innovation, including inputs such as the number of researchers, research and development expenditure, and outputs as the number of patents and number of trademark registrations. Empirical findings are found consistently, thus confirming that innovation is very important for economic growth. The study also shows convincing evidence confirming the positive contribution of foreign direct investment as well as its spillover effect on innovation and economic growth

    FTIR Combined with Chemometrics for Fast Simultaneous Determination of Penicillin and Cephalexin in Pharmaceutical Tablets

    In this research, the potential of combining chemometrics with FTIR techniques to provide a rapid and simultaneous quantitative analyses method for determination penicillin, cephalexin is studied. Unlike other methods, FTIR is considered as a time saving method due to its non-destructive and simple sample preparation. Due to the similarity of infrared spectral, PLS and PCR couples with spectral treatment techniques are applied to make the calibration model for penicillin and cephalexin determination at the same time. The result is also validated in term of RMSEP and R2 value using validation set. The FTIR combined with PLS method shows the best results
