Giant negative magnetoresistance induced by the chiral anomaly in individual Cd3As2 nanowires

Cd3As2 is a newly booming Dirac semimetal with linear dispersion along all three momentum directions and can be viewed as 3D analog of graphene. As breaking of either time reversal symmetry or spatial inversion symmetry, the Dirac semimetal is believed to transform into Weyl semimetal with exotic chiral anomaly effect, while the experimental evidence of the chiral anomaly is still missing in Cd3As2. Here we report the magneto-transport properties of individual Cd3As2 nanowires. Large negative magnetoresistance (MR) with magnitude of -63% at 60 K and -11% at 300 K are observed when the magnetic field is parallel with the electric field direction, giving the evidence of the chiral magnetic effect in Cd3As2 nanowires. In addition, the critical magnetic field BC, where there is an extremum of the negative MR, increases with increasing temperature. As the first observation of chiral anomaly induced negative MR in Cd3As2 nanowires, it may offer valuable insights for low dimensional physics in Dirac semimetals.Comment: 4 figure

A Descriptive Model of Robot Team and the Dynamic Evolution of Robot Team Cooperation

At present, the research on robot team cooperation is still in qualitative analysis phase and lacks the description model that can quantitatively describe the dynamical evolution of team cooperative relationships with constantly changeable task demand in Multi-robot field. First this paper whole and static describes organization model HWROM of robot team, then uses Markov course and Bayesian theorem for reference, dynamical describes the team cooperative relationships building. Finally from cooperative entity layer, ability layer and relative layer we research team formation and cooperative mechanism, and discuss how to optimize relative action sets during the evolution. The dynamic evolution model of robot team and cooperative relationships between robot teams proposed and described in this paper can not only generalize the robot team as a whole, but also depict the dynamic evolving process quantitatively. Users can also make the prediction of the cooperative relationship and the action of the robot team encountering new demands based on this model. Ballistic Thermal Rectification in Asymmetric Three-Terminal Mesoscopic Dielectric Systems

By coupling the asymmetric three-terminal mesoscopic dielectric system with a temperature probe, at low temperature, the ballistic heat flux flow through the other two asymmetric terminals in the nonlinear response regime is studied based on the Landauer formulation of transport theory. The thermal rectification is attained at the quantum regime. It is a purely quantum effect and is determined by the dependence of the ratio τRC(ω)/τRL(ω)\tau_{RC}(\omega)/\tau_{RL}(\omega) on ω\omega, the phonon's frequency. Where τRC(ω)\tau_{RC}(\omega) and τRL(ω)\tau_{RL}(\omega) are respectively the transmission coefficients from two asymmetric terminals to the temperature probe, which are determined by the inelastic scattering of ballistic phonons in the temperature probe. Our results are confirmed by extensive numerical simulations.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figure

Experimental Study on Performance of Two-phase Ejector Refrigeration Cycle System with Two-throat Nozzle

The two-phase ejector refrigeration cycle (TPERC) system with a two-throat nozzle ejector was investigated experimentally, and the entrainment ratio of the ejector and the COP of the system were compared with those of the ejector with Laval nozzle and the TPERC system respectively. The experimental results indicate that the entrainment ratios of the two-throat nozzle ejectors with different geometric size are greater than those of the Laval nozzle ejectors under the working condition of the evaporating/condensing temperatures 1?/45?, the maximum increment of the entrainment ratio is about 18%, and the COP of the TPERC system with two-throat nozzle ejector is greater than that of the TPERC system with Laval nozzle ejector, the maximum increment of the COP is about 12%. Under the condition of the fixed evaporating temperature 1?, the entrainment ratios of both the two-throat nozzle ejector and the Laval nozzle ejector achieve the maximum values as the condensing temperature is about 45?. Under the condition of the fixed condensing temperature 50?, the entrainment ratios of the two types of ejectors achieve the maximum values as the evaporating temperature is about 3?

In each [Cu(NCS)3]2− anion, the CuI atom is coordinated by three N atoms of thiocyanate ligands in a trigonal–planar coordination geometry. Each [Cu(NCS)3]2− anion bridges two [K(benzene-18-crown-6)]+ cations, with K—S distances of 3.317 (3) and 3.198 (3) Å, and two [K(benzene-18-crown-6)]+ cations are linked across a crystallographic centre of inversion, with K—O distances of 2.903 (5) Å

Detection and characterization of spontaneous internal deletion mutants of Beet Necrotic yellow vein virus RNA3 from systemic host Nicotiana benthamiana

Abstract Background Beet Necrotic Yellow Vein virus (BNYVV) is a member of the genus Benyvirus causing a worldwide sugar beet disease rhizomania. BNYVV contains four or five plus-sense single stranded RNAs. In altered selective conditions, multipartite RNA viruses of plant are prone to undergoing internal deletions, thus turning into Defective RNAs (D RNAs). Although several D RNAs have been reported in BNYVV infection, the spontaneous internal deletion mutants responsible for severe symptom in systemic host Nicotiana benthamiana (N. benthamiana) are not described so far. Results Systemic host N. benthamiana was inoculated by Chinese BNYVV isolates. RT-PCR and Northern blot showed that the D RNAs forms of BNYVV RNA3 were present in the systemic infection of the N. benthamiana. Three distinct D-RNA3s, named as D-RNA 3α, D-RNA 3ÎČ and D-RNA 3Îł, were made into infectious clones. When inoculated on the N. benthamiana, the in vitro transcripts of D forms exhibited more stable than that of wild-type RNA3 in systemic movement. Among the detected mutant, the p25 protein frame-shift mutant (D-RNA3α) induced obvious necrotic lesions on Tetragonia.expansa (T. expansa) and pronounced systemic symptom on the N. benthamiana. The D-RNA3α was further mutated artificially to pre-terminate the downstream N protein, leading to the abolishment of the pathogenicity, indicating the N protein was responsible for the necrotic symptom. Conclusion Our studies demonstrated the internal deletion mutants of BNYVV-RNA3 were spontaneously generated in the systemic infection on N. benthamiana. The internal deletions didn't affect the efficient replication of D-RNA3s, instead by improving the stability and pathogenicity of RNA3 in the systemic host N. benthamiana. Besides, our results also suggested the downstream N protein of RNA3, but not the upstream p25 protein, may play an important role in the systemic infection on N. benthamiana
