    Interlaboratory Proficiency Test 05/2020. Metals in natural waters

    Proftest SYKE carried out the proficiency test (PT) for analysis of elements in natural waters in April–May 2020. The measurands for the synthetic, ground water and lake water samples were: Al, As, B, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, Se, Sr, Ti, U, V, and Zn. In total 16 participants joined in the PT. In this proficiency test 88 % of the results were satisfactory when deviation of 10–30 % from the assigned value was accepted. Basically, either the metrologically traceable concentration, the calculated concentration or the robust mean, the mean or the median of the results reported by the participants was used as the assigned value for the measurands. The evaluation of the performance of the participants was carried out using z scores. Warm thanks to all the participants in this proficiency test

    Proftest SYKE carried out the proficiency test (PT) for analysis of metals in waste waters and fly ash from wood and recycled fuel in October-November 2016. The measurands for synthetic sample as well as municipal and industrial waste water samples were: Al, As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Hg, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, Se, V and Zn. For the fly ash sample, the measurands were: As, Ba, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Mo, Pb, V and Zn. In total 26 participants joined in the PT. In this proficiency test 92 % of the results were satisfactory when deviation of 10 – 25 % from the assigned value was accepted. Basically, either the metrologically traceable concentration, calculated concentration, the robust mean or the mean of the results reported by the participants was used as the assigned value for the measurands. The evaluation of the performance of the participants was carried out using the z scores. In some cases the evaluation of the performance was not possible e.g. due to the low number of the participants. There, when possible, D% and En scores were calculated.     Proftest Syke carried out the proficiency test (PT) for analysis of metals in wastewaters and fly ash in October-November 2022. The measurands for the synthetic sample and industrial as well as municipal wastewater samples were Al, As, B, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, S, Sb, Se, Sr, Ti, U, V, and Zn. Acid soluble measurands for the fly ash sample were: As, Ba, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Mo, Ni, Pb, Se, V, and Zn. In total, there were 27 participants in the PT. In this PT, 90 % of the results evaluated with z scores were satisfactory when total deviation of 10–25 % from the assigned value was accepted. Of the results evaluated with En scores, 91 % were satisfactory. Basically, either the metrologically traceable concentration or the robust mean, the mean or the median of the results reported by the participants was used as the assigned value for measurands. Pätevyyskoe 12/2022:Jätevesien ja lentotuhkan metallimääritykset Proftest Syke järjesti loka-marraskuussa 2022 pätevyyskokeen laboratorioille, jotka tekevät jätevesien ja lentotuhkan metallimäärityksiä. Pätevyyskokeessa määritettiin synteettisestä näytteestä ja jätevesinäytteistä seuraavat testisuureet: Al, As, B, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, S, Sb, Se, Sr, Ti, U, V ja Zn. Lentotuhkasta testattiin happoliukoiset pitoisuudet testisuureille: As, Ba, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Mo, Ni, Pb, Se, V ja Zn. Pätevyyskokeeseen osallistui yhteensä 27 laboratoriota. Koko aineistossa oli 90 % hyväksyttäviä tuloksia z-arvoilla arvioituna, kun tulosten sallittiin poiketa vertailuarvosta 10–25 %. Tuloksista, jotka arvioitiin En-arvoilla, hyväksyttyjä oli 91 %. Testisuureen vertailuarvona käytettiin metrologisesti jäljitettävää pitoisuutta tai osallistujien raportoimien tulosten robustia keskiarvoa, keskiarvoa tai mediaania.
