Isolated foetal ascites.
The prenatal diagnosis and perinatal outcome of two patients with isolated foetal ascites compatible with chyloperitoneum is described. The foetal ascites resolved spontaneously after delivery with good perinatal outcome in both cases. A good prognosis can be anticipated in such cases. Antepartum and intrapartum interventions are seldom necessary.published_or_final_versio

Discrimination of foreign speech pitch and autistic traits in non-clinical population
Individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) are widely suggested to show enhanced perceptual discrimination but inconsistent findings have been reported for pitch discrimination. Given the high variability in ASC, this study investigated whether ASC traits were correlated with pitch discrimination in an undergraduate sample when musical and language experiences were taken into consideration. Results indicated that the Social Skills subscale of the Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) was associated with foreign speech pitch discrimination, suggesting that individuals who were less sociable and socially skillful were less able to discriminate foreign speech pitch. Current findings have an implication in investigating individual differences in ASC and further investigation is needed for spelling out the relationship between the non-social and social aspects of ASC
Using positive youth development constructs to design a money management curriculum for junior secondary school students in Hong Kong
This paper aims to discuss the relationships between the selected positive youth development constructs and the enhancement of Hong Kong junior secondary school students' money management skills, values, and attitudes. Various issues of money management of adolescents are reviewed. These issues include the need for money management programs for adolescents, the content and coverage of an appropriate money management program, and its relationships with the selected positive youth development constructs. The curriculum units for secondary 3 students are taken as examples to illustrate the design of the program. It is believed that promoting cognitive competence, self-efficacy, and spirituality could be an effective way to enhance students' money management skills, values, and attitudes, thus preparing them better for facing the finance-related issues in life. © 2011 Patrick S. NEW INTERPRETATION ON EMG CHARATERISTICS OF SPASTIC CEREBRAL PALSY DURING A REHABILITATIVE WALKING EXERCISE
The purpose of this study is to interpret the EMG characteristics of spastic cerebral palsy children during walking with power spectrum analysis. The EMG signal of 16 cerebral palsy patients (GP) and 18 age matched control (Normal) were collected during several walking trial. It was found that our CP participants ha:d significantly longer firing duration and higher median frequency within a gait cycle for al.l the muscle groups, these indicated of the EMG characteristics of in the spastic muscles. In addition, the CP produced significantly smaller root mean square value in tibialis anterior muscle than the normal; this indicated that the tibialis anterior muscle of GP was weakness or atrophy. Because of good objectivity and reproducibility, employing RMS and the MF could :be suggested to be the parameters for further gait studies
