The influence of prostanoids and their synthesis blockers on superoxide dismutase activity in rabbits with penetrating injury of the sclera

В роботі вивчена активність супероксиддисмутази (СОД) вологи передньої камери ока після призначення препаратів, що пригнічують активність фосфоліпази А2, циклооксигенази або 5-ліпоксигенази, а також за локального застосування простагландинів (ПГ) Е1, Е2 та F2а у 35 кроликів з проникним пораненням склери. Встановлено вірогідне підвищення активності СОД до 60 доби спостережень під впливом всіх препаратів, крім ПГЕ2, який пригнічував активність СОД впродовж всього періоду досліджень. The paper deals with a study of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the humor of the anterior chamber of the eye after the administration of drugs inhibiting activity of phospholipase A2, cyclooxygenase or 5-lipoxygenase, as well as in case of topical application of prostaglandins (PG) E1, E2 and F2a in 35 rabbits with a penetrating injury of the sclera. A reliable increase of SOD activity was discovered until the 60th day of observations under the influence of all drugs, except PGE, which inhibited the SOD activity during the whole period of investigations
