Saturation and Critical Phenomena in DIS

    Get PDF
It is argued that the expected turn-down in x−Q2x- Q^2 of the cross sections (structure functions F2(x,Q2)F_2(x,Q^2)), assumed to result from the saturation of parton densities in the nucleon, is related to a phase transition from the (almost) ideal partonic gas, obeying Bjorken scaling, to a partonic "liquid". This can be quantified in the framework of statistical models, percolation and other approaches to collective phenomena of the strongly interacting matter. Similarities and differences between the case of lepton-hadron, hadron-hadron and nuclear collisions are discussed.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures, talk given by L.L. Jenkovszky at the EDS'09 Conferenc

Multiparticle production in the model with antishadowing

We discuss the role of absorbtion and antishadowing in particle production. We reproduce power-like energy behavior of the mean multiplicity in the model with antishadowing and discuss physical implications of such behavior for the hadron structure.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, extended version of the talk at the XXXII International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics September 7-13, 2002 Alushta, Crimea, Ukrain

Selection of highly productive grape variations using methods of multidimensional analysis

    Get PDF
A method of clonal grape selection that allows the identification of genotypes with high productivity, based on phenotypes, with a substantial decrease in the duration of the process of selection is proposed. Multi-stage selection of the best plants is carried out in the same stock nursery during 4-5 years. 5-6% of the selected plants include mutated and modified variations characterized not only by high productivity, normal vigor, good quality of fruit and good sanitary condition of vines, but also by a stable expression of these desirable characters

On impact parameter dependence of low-x structure functions

We consider impact parameter dependence of the polarized and unpolarized structure functions. Unitarity does not allow factorization of the structure functions over the Bjorken x and the impact parameter b variables. On the basis of the particular geometrical model approach we conclude that spin of constituent quark may have a significant orbital angular momentum component which can manifest itself through the peripherality of the spin dependent structure functions.Comment: 5 pages, 1 figur

A study of leaf and callus antigens in Euro-Asian and American grapevines

    Get PDF
Immunochemical reactions of absorbed antisera with leaf and callus antigens of American and European grapevine species revealed species-specific antigens. Immunochemical reactions of extracts from grape leaves and callus were identical. The presence of species-specific antigens in the undifferentiated callus indicated that they are not linked to cell specialization. Leaf and callus antigens with molecular weights of approximately 100 kDa are specific for V. vinifera L. Antigens with molecular weights of more than 200 kDa are specific for American species of grapevine

Different behaviour of the spin structure functions g1(x)g_1(x) and h1(x)h_1(x) at x→0x\to 0

We consider low-xx behaviour of the spin structure functions g1(x)g_1(x) and h1(x)h_1(x) in the unitarized chiral quark model which combines ideas on the constituent quark structure of hadrons with a geometrical scattering picture and unitarity. A nondiffractive singular low-xx dependence of g1p(x)g^p_1(x) and g1n(x)g_1^n(x) indicated by the recent SMC experimental data is described. A diffractive type smooth behaviour of h1(x)h_1(x) is predicted at small xx. The expectations for the double-spin asymmetries in the low-mass Drell-Yan production at RHIC in the central region are discussed alongside.Comment: LaTeX, 10 pages, 2 figure

Mechanism of single-spin asymmetries generation in the inclusive hadron processes

We discuss a nonperturbative mechanism for generation of the single-spin asymmetries in hadron interactions. It is based on the chiral quark model combined with unitarity and impact parameter picture and provides explanation for the experimental regularities observed under the measurements of the spin asymmetries.Comment: 20 pages, 7 figure

Hyperon Polarization in the Constituent Quark Model

    Get PDF
We consider mechanism for hyperon polarization in inclusive production. The main role belongs to the orbital angular momentum and polarization of the strange quark-antiquark pairs in the internal structure of the constituent quarks. We consider a nucleon as a core consisting of the constituent quarks embedded into quark condensate. The nonperturbative hadron structure is based on the results of chiral quark models.Comment: 14 pages, LaTeX, 2 Figures, References adde
