Rotation empêchée autour de la liaison carbone arylique - azote dans les dérivés du 2-acétamidothiophène

Des calculs théoriques utilisant la méthode MNDO ont été effectués sur quatre dérivés R5 du 2-acétamidothiophène substitué en position 3 par un groupe volumineux éthoxycarbonyle. Les résultats confirment que la non-équivalence des protons N-méthyléniques provient d'une rotation empêchée autour de la liaison carbone arylique-azote comme dans les anilides otho-odisubstitués. Des corrélations satisfaisantes ont été obtenues entre la charge nette de l’atome de soufre, les paramètres géométriques des molécules étudiées ainsi que les paramètres d'activation de l'échange RMN observé en fontion de la nature (σp de Hammett) du substituant R5

Interactions of surfactants with living cells. Induction of apoptosis by detergents containing a β-lactam moiety

The toxicity of new surfactants containing a beta-lactam ring has been established by studying their interaction with a hybridoma cell line. An hour of contact is sufficient to generate an apoptotic signal after two days of culture. Under the experimental conditions chosen for the experiments, surfactants have been divided into three categories: i) biocompatible and non-apogenic; ii) surfactants triggering an apoptotic signal without inducing cell necrosis; iii) surfactants triggering an apoptotic signal at low concentrations and destroying the cells by necrosis at higher concentrations. The necrosis inducing surfactants also had haemolytic properties.
