On Gakhov’s radius for some classes of functions

    Get PDF
© 2015, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. We introduce Gakhov’s radius as the radius of the largest circle rE, 0 < r ≤ 1, E = {ζ: |ζ| < 1}, inside of which the external inverse boundary value problem possesses unique solution. We find the Gakhov’s radius and convexity radius for several classes of functions, in particular, for the class of Nuzhin’s functions, the class of Zhukovskii’s airfoils, and the class of functions characterized by the inequality Re(ζf″(ζ)/f′(ζ)) ≥ A, A ≥ 1, ζ ∈ E

Methods of genotyping of M. tuberculosis play important role in tuberculosis (TB) infection control. These techniques are used to detect or exclude laboratory errors, control recurrent cases and determine ways of TB transmission. Today, there are more than 10 methods of genotyping, MIRU-VNTR being one of the most widely used methods in the world

The historic city as an object of cultural tourism (on the example of Yelabuga)

This paper deals with the experience of the existence of historic cities, their opportunities as centers for tourism development. At present, there are 41 historic settlements in Russia with different status. The tourist appeal of historic cities is determined primarily by their historic and cultural heritage. In recent years, such form of tourism as cultural has become more popular. Among the objects of cultural tourism is the historic and cultural heritage in its material and non-material, intangible forms. These are historic territories, including historic cities, architectural structures and complexes, archaeological excavations, art and historic museums, folk crafts, festivals, folklore, household ceremonies, traditional values, activities and the daily life style of the local population. Within the framework of cultural tourism, an individualization of demand occurs. Travelers are interested not only in getting acquainted with the well-known sights, but also in a kind of "immersion" in the historic environment, in the knowledge of the traditions and customs of the local population. Management of their historic and cultural heritage is carried out, for the most part, by reserve museums. The project activity of Yelabuga Reserve Museum is being studied as a means to increase the tourist flow and attract new partners

Sulfur composite materials based on sulfide containing industrial waste

    Get PDF
© 2017 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. A technology for the production of sulfur composite materials based on waste from BaCl 2 at Karpov Mendeleyevsk Plant (Russia) was developed. The physical chemical and quantum chemical studies were performed for the “sulfur – sulfide containing industrial waste–filler” system. The usage of sulfide ion CaS enables sulfur activation to promote the chemical interaction between the components and synthesis of sulfides and sulfur materials with high physical mechanical properties from them

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major health problem in Kazakhstan. Despite of that the rates of TB disease and mortality decreased from 58,5/100000 and 4,1/100000 in 2015 to 52,7/100000 and 3,4/100000 in 2016 respectively, the rate of multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) increased from 12,2/100000 in 2014 to 13,5/100000 in 2015 [1]; MDR strains associated with resistance to the main two first line anti-TB drugs – isoniazid and rifampicin are the most dangerous. 27 countries relate to high MDR-TB burden countries, 15 of them in the European region, including Kazakhstan [2]; Methods of genotyping of M. tuberculosis play important role in TB infection control. There are more than 10 methods of genotyping, MIRU-VNTR is one of the widely used method in the world

Production of sulfur composite materials from sulfur containing waste for construction applications

    Get PDF
Production of high-quality sulfur composite materials with high performance. The physicochemical analysis and quantum chemical studies established that high physical and mechanical properties of the developed materials resulted from a chemical interaction between the components, which favored the formation of a compact homogeneous structure of the material

Sulfur composite technology from oil refinery waste

© Research India Publications.Oil and gas waste is a valuable material for chemical industry and new material intensive alternative. The article studies a possibility of obtaining inorganic sulfides from elemental sulfur and an active silica containing material with better mechanical and physical properties and analyses their formation. The usage of an aluminum chloride activator allows activating sulfur and silica components of materials that contributes to obtain unyielding and long-lasting sulfur composites having better performance properties. To understand the chemical processes developing in the system and prove new chemical bond formation, the quantum-chemical research using software products is undertaken. The comparative thermodynamic assessment of insertion and replacement reactions in triple and singlet state of sulfur is carried out. The impact of silicagel premodification with aluminum chloride on reaction with sulfur and calcium sulphide formation is defined. The quantum-chemical calculation results confirm the chemical reaction possibility between sulfur and silicagel modified with aluminum chloride. According to the research results, the schemes of obtaining silica containing materials from opal cristobalite rock of various deposits are suggested. According to the research results, we can offer the manufacture technology of inorganic sulfides and sulfur composites employing an activator-aluminum chloride. A key technology scheme of sulfur composite manufacturing from inorganic sulfides is developed. The acquired data on usage of interaction mechanisms of sulfur with various inorganic compounds can provide background for developing recycling technologies of sulfur obtained in the process of oil refining into sulfides and multipurpose materials

Leadership in the university student environment: How to become a person-oriented leader

    Get PDF
© 2018 International Journal of Instruction. Currently there is a vital need to teach youth to demonstrate leadership skills as well as to work in the competitive market environment. This article is devoted to the problem of leadership training among university students. The sample included 474 students of Kazan Federal University. The project was based on the use of person-oriented interaction between the university tutors and students to help young people overcome the barriers to develop leadership qualities while being engaged in the organizational activities. In the first phase, the participants' levels of leadership qualities, organizational inclination, and communication skills were determined. The experimental stage was aimed at teaching student organizers create a positive atmosphere in the group being guided by the principles of person-oriented interaction between a leader and his followers. The experiment has demonstrated that collaboration of people with a high level of leadership qualities and those ones with a low level of leadership qualities do not give positive results. Collaboration with the university tutors gave support to the student participants and helped them develop the traits of a leader
