Metode yang digunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa yang duduk di kelas IX di SMP Negeri Muara Kuang tahun pelajaran 2020/2021.Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari siswa kelas IX 1 dan 10 guru SMP Negeri 2 Muara Kuang, dengan jumlah 40 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian bahwa pengaruh pembelajaran online terhadap pemahaman belajar siswa kelas IX SMP N 2 Muara Kuang berada pada tingkat kategori “sangat rendah. Hal inilah yang membuat siswa merasakan pembelajaran secara tatap muka lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran online.Kata kuci : Pembelajaran Online, Pemahaman Belajar Sisw

    Detecting the intermediate-mass Higgs boson through the associate production channel pp --> t + anti-t + H + X

    Full text link
    We examine the detection of the intermediate-mass Higgs boson (IMH) at LHC through the associate production channel pp-->t+(anti-t)+H+X-->l+photon+ photon+X'. It is shown that by applying kinematic cuts or b-tagging on the final state jets, the main backgrounds of W(-->l+nu)+photon+photon+(n-jet) can be reduced substantially without significant loss of signals. It is possible to detect the Higgs boson at LHC through the pp-->t+(anti-t)+H+X channel using a modest photon detector with mass resolution of about 3% of the photon pair invariant mass.Comment: 10 pages, standard LaTex fil

    LpL^p-Taylor approximations characterize the Sobolev space W1,pW^{1,p}

    In this note, we introduce a variant of Calder\'on and Zygmund's notion of LpL^p-differentiability - an \emph{LpL^p-Taylor approximation}. Our first result is that functions in the Sobolev space W1,p(RN)W^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^N) possess a first order LpL^p-Taylor approximation. This is in analogy with Calder\'on and Zygmund's result concerning the LpL^p-differentiability of Sobolev functions. In fact, the main result we announce here is that the first order LpL^p-Taylor approximation characterizes the Sobolev space W1,p(RN)W^{1,p}(\mathbb{R}^N), and therefore implies LpL^p-differentiability. Our approach establishes connections between some characterizations of Sobolev spaces due to Swanson using Calder\'on-Zygmund classes with others due to Bourgain, Brezis, and Mironescu using nonlocal functionals with still others of the author and Mengesha using nonlocal gradients. That any two characterizations of Sobolev spaces are related is not surprising, however, one consequence of our analysis is a simple condition for determining whether a function of bounded variation is in a Sobolev space.Comment: 7 pages. Longitudinal/Goldstone boson equivalence and phenomenology of probing the electroweak symmetry breaking

    We formulate the equivalence between the longitudinal weak-boson and the Goldstone boson as a criterion for sensitively probing the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism and develop a precise power counting rule for chiral Lagrangian formulated electroweak theories. With these we semi-quatitatively analyze the sensitivities to various effective operators related to electrowaeak symmetry breaking via weak-boson scatterings at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC).Comment: 6 pages, LaTex, 1 postscript figure included using psfig.te

    Regulation of Cancer Stem Cells: Lysine Methylation of p53

    Full text link
    The highly studied p53 protein regulates multiple transitions through the cell cycle effectively halting the growth of tumorlike masses.[1] This gene was primitively identified an oncogene; however, it was later derived that p53 functions as a tumor suppressor.[1] Named due to its mass in kDa, p53 is a phosphoprotein comprised of 393 amino acids.[1] Normal cells contain controlled, small quantities of p53 in order to facilitate the regulation of normal cell activities such as growth arrest, senescence,DNArepair, and apoptosis.[1,2] These features are pivotal the continuation of healthy cell production. Constructively, the functions of p53 work together to pause the cell growth cycles in order to address and repair certain sequences of DNA if needed before cell division commences. If repair cannot be completed, then p53 signals for the cell to become senescent and/or later to destroy itself via apoptosis.[1] Upon DNA damage and other cellular stressors, the quantity of p53 is upregulated in order to instigate either the repair or apoptotic cellular pathways; however, continued high levels of p53 are detrimental as its increased ability to activate the apoptotic pathway is likened to an accelerated aging process.[1] The C-terminus domain (CTD) of p53 contains several modifiable lysine residues that may be augmented in different patterns resulting in an array of dissimilar protein-protein interactions thus greatly adding to the multiplicity of functions for the protein itself. This study aims to show that the control of these modifications may not only reduce the causation of multiple forms of cancers but may also be used as a preventative mechanism by never allowing malignant masses to have formed in the firstplace

    Gram level scFv expression platform of Phichi pastoris

    The methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris secretion expression system has been developed for the antibody fragments (scFv) production platform. The platform includes three technology platforms, the first one is strain generation, the second is fermentation process development in 250 ml fermentor and the last is process scale up to 5 L. A recombinant scFv went through clone generation, include signal peptide tool box, normally yield 2.5 mg/L titer in deep well. Through the fermentation process development of induction medium composition and feeding strategy by Eppendorf Dasgip parallel 250 ml mini fermentor. During induction step, feeding 100% methanol as induction medium can only produce less than 50 mg/L scFv while feeding methanol-sorbitol mixture can significant increase the production yield to 306 mg/L in five days, about 6-folds increase in productivity. With the supply of additional nitrogen source during glycerol feeding step or at induction step, higher scFv production with 510 mg/L can be achieved. Thus, following the medium composition optimization, the production titer was improved 10 folds in 250 ml mini-fermentor stage. Moreover, when we switched the induction medium feeding strategy from DO-stat to the stepwise feeding, the titer increased form 510 mg/L to ~1000 mg/L and yielded another 2- folds improvement. During medium composition and feeding strategy optimization at 250 ml mini fermentor scale, the production titer could increase 20 folds. Overall, the production titer increased 400 folds from cell line generation to 250 ml fermentation parameter optimization. Furthermore, the process parameter can be scale-up to 5 L fernentor achieving \u3e 1 g/L. Recent progress to include BIP in the expression vector gave at least 2 fold improvement in scFv titer in shake flask, the new clone will be optimized in our established 250 ml and 5 L fermentation platform Please click Additional Files below to see the full abstract
