Ukraine in the process of European integration: the economic aspect

The article examines the current trends, problems and prospects of Ukraine development in the terms of European integration processes. Particular attention is paid to the European integration in the economic sphere. The basic indicators of economic development of Ukraine are given in the article. The authors notice that the way of Ukraine to the European Union determines fundamental principles of foreign and internal policy of Ukraine. And the integration of Ukraine into the EU will provide its entry to the world’s most powerful regional association, which significantly affects the overall dynamics, structural changes, the level of technology and the format of the regulation of the global economy.Artykuł analizuje aktualne trendy, problemy i perspektywy rozwoju Ukrainy w zakresie europejskich procesów integracyjnych. Szczególną uwagę przywiązuje się do integracji europejskiej w sferze gospodarczej. Artykuł odnosi się również do podstawowych wskaźników rozwoju gospodarczego Ukrainy. Autorzy zauważają, że podstawowe cele polityki zagranicznej i wewnętrznej Ukrainy są determinowane przez jej drogę do Unii Europejskiej. Integracja z UE pozwoliłaby Ukrainie na wejście do struktury o wyjątkowym znaczeniu w regionie, co znacząco wpłynęłoby na ogólną dynamikę tego państwa, zmiany strukturalne, poziom technologii i kształt współpracy z zakresu gospodarki światowej

Importance of regional competitiveness in transition economy

The aim of the research is the theoretical and methodological justification of regional competitiveness in the conditions of transformation economy.Nowadays, the successful involvement of Ukraine in world economic space in terms of further market-oriented transformation of the national economic system, acquiring the characteristics of the global knowledge economy, makes the relevance of competitiveness that is the key to its sustainable economic development. У статті обґрунтовано значення транскордонного співробітництва для соціально-економічного розвитку країни та її регіонів, а також виявлено необхідність застосування управління проектами як інструмента активізації транскордонної співпраці.The importance of transborder cooperation for social and economic development of the country and its regions is considered and the need of project management as an instrument of intensify the transborder cooperation is identified in the article. In today’s economy the most economic problems are solved with the help of some projects. Thus, the desire of border regions to effectively manage of their competitive positions requires general studies of transborder cooperation and social and economic problems of the development of these regions. As the result it should be the appearance of project decisions and justifications for their practical implementation both at national and international level

Aspekty metodologiczne opracowania i wdrażania strategii rozwoju bioekonomii w regionie

This paper aims to consider the methodological features of elaborating and implementing bioeconomy development strategy in a region. The basis for discussion is a critical literature review. Nowadays the international community pays much attention to the sustainable spatial development. In our opinion one of the effective factors of sustainable spatial development is a bioeconomy. The mission of a bioeconomy as effective condition for sustainable development is a process of survival and reproduction of the gene pool of population, activation of the role of each individual person in a society, ensuring their rights and freedoms, saving the environment, creating conditions for the restoration of the biosphere and its local ecosystems, orientation on the reduction of the human impacts on environment and harmonization of man development in nature. We emphasize that the system and network planning methodology, which is in the base of the project management theory, must be used for elaborating and implementing bioeconomy development strategy in a region. Thus, the concept of project management exactly conforms to the complexity and dynamicity of the processes of bioeconomy development in a region. The methodology expects the activity of economic entities as to the spatial concretization and implementing of the strategy of balanced socio-economic and Eco Safety development of a region.
