Development and Evaluation of Omni channel service based on Internet of Things for Hospitals

Omni-channel services based on the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies have emerged in various business environments. To enhance hospital’s service quality and maximize benefits as well as provide seamless customer experience, this study applies IoT technology based on NFC, iBeacon(inclusing wearable devices) as an omnichannel service for integration of online and offline channel in hospital. First, we develop services based on IoT technology for omni channel of the hospital. Then, we will evaluate omni channel services from a CRM and BPI point of view through interview. To develop the IoT technology based on NFC, iBeacon, we conducted action research. The five phases in action research framework research include diagnosing, action planning, action taking, evaluation, and specifying learning phases. In this study, we focus on action planning, action taking, evaluation. At the action planning phases, eleven service models based on IoT technology for omni channel for hospital were designed. Service models were applied to the hospital by installing tags and beacons at the third phase. At the fourth phases, service models issues and knowledge on the whole application process were derived and summarized with respect to CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and BPI (Business Process Innovation) of hospital

Reflections upon Korean and American Evangelical Church Models for Effective strategy in Developing Missional Churches

The purpose of this project is to present my reflections upon Korean and American evangelical church model for effective strategy in developing missional churches. God is reviving Korea and North America with missional churches. Some churches in Korea and America are changing their paradigm, not focusing on church buildings and programs but on missions and outreach. This thesis offers reflections about the missional church concept by presenting a set of case studies of well- known missional churches. The result of the case studies provides helpful insights on establishing a missional church. Drawing from case studies of missional Churches and a literature search, this author suggests seven strategic process of a missional church\u27s transformation from traditional church to missional church

Case Study on the Enterprise Microblog Usage: Focusing on Knowledge Learning

Knowledge Management Strategy can be classified by codification strategy and personalization strategy (Hansen et. al., 1999), and how to manage the two strategies were always studied. Also, current studies regarding the knowledge management strategy were targeted mostly for major companies, resulting in lack of studies in how it can be applied on SMEs. This research, with the knowledge management strategy suited for SMEs, sets an Enterprise Microblog (EMB), and with the EMB applied on SMEs’ Knowledge Management Strategy, it is reviewed on the perspective of SMEs’ Codification and Personalization Strategies. Through the advanced research regarding Knowledge Management Strategy and EMB, the hypothesis is set that “Depending on the development of the company, the main application of EMB alters from Codification Strategy to Personalization Strategy.” To check the hypothesis, SME that have used the EMB called ‘Yammer’ was analyzed from the data of their foundation until today. The case study has implemented longitudinal analysis which divides the period when the EMBs were used into three stages and analyzes the contents. Coderivations of Ranked Bigroupoids

The notion of (co)derivations of ranked bigroupoids is discussed by Alshehri et al. (in press), and their generalized version is studied by Jun et al. (under review press). In particular, Jun et al. (under review press) studied coderivations of ranked bigroupoids. In this paper, the generalization of coderivations of ranked bigroupoids is discussed. The notion of generalized coderivations in ranked bigroupoids is introduced, and new generalized coderivations of ranked bigroupoids are obtained by combining a generalized self-coderivation with a rankomorphism. From the notion of (X,∗,&)-derivation, the existence of a rankomorphism of ranked bigroupoids is established

Personal Network Recovery Enablers and Relapse Risks for Women With Substance Dependence

We examined the experiences of women in treatment for substance dependence and their treatment providers about personal networks and recovery. We conducted six focus groups at three women’s intensive substance abuse treatment programs. Four coders used thematic analysis to guide the data coding and an iterative process to identify major themes. Coders identified social network characteristics that enabled and impeded recovery and a reciprocal relationship between internal states, relationship management, and recovery. Although women described adding individuals to their networks, they also described managing existing relationships through distancing from or isolating some members to diminish their negative impact on recovery. Treatment providers identified similar themes, but focused more on contextual barriers than the women. The focus of interventions with this population should be on both internal barriers to personal network change such as mistrust and fear, and helping women develop skills for managing enduring network relationships

Postoperative clinical outcomes and radiological healing according to deep and superficial layer detachment in first facet involving subscapularis tendon tear

Background Subscapularis tendon insertion at the first facet has separate layers (deep and superficial). The purpose of this study is to evaluate postoperative clinical outcomes and radiological healing according to each layer of detachment in the first facet involving subscapularis tendon tear. Methods Eighty-three patients who underwent arthroscopic repair due to First facet involving the scapularis tendon tear accompanying small to medium sized posterosuperior cuff tear were classified into three groups (group A: deep layer partial detachment, group B: deep layer complete detachment, but no superficial layer detachment, and group C: deep layer and superficial layer complete detachment). Subscapularis tendon healing was evaluated using computed tomography arthrogram and clinical result was evaluated using American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) shoulder score, Constant score and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) shoulder score. Results Retear rate of the subscapularis tendon was 2.2%, 18.2%, and 33.3% in group A, group B, and group C, respectively. These rates showed statistically significant difference among the three groups, which were classified by deep and superficial layer detachment in the first facet (p=0.003). Group A showed significant difference in subscapularis tendon healing compared with group B and group C (p=0.018 and p<0.001, respectively), but there was no statistical difference between group B and group C (p=0.292). Regarding clinical outcomes, there was no significant difference among three groups in ASES and UCLA score at final follow-up (p=0.070 and p=0.106, respectively). Conclusions Complete detachment of deep layer may be related with retear occurrence regardless with detachment of superficial layer, but clinical outcome may not be related with each layer detachment in the first facet involving subscapularis tendon tear

Anderson transition of in-gap quasiparticles in a quasi-two-dimensional disordered superconductor

The Anderson transition of Bogoliubov-de Gennes (BdG) quasiparticles in superconducting state has been studied theoretically for last three decades. However, its experimental proof is lacking. In particular, the relationship of the superconducting order-parameter fluctuations and the Anderson transition of BdG quasiparticles have not been well understood. Our study, based on scanning tunneling microscopy measurements, investigates how BdG quasiparticles become Anderson-localized and delocalized as a function of energy and applied magnetic field in a quasi-two-dimensional Fe-based superconductor with sufficient zero-bias BdG quasiparticles. The anomalous multifractal spectra based on the spatial distributions of the pairing gaps and the coherent peak heights suggest that superconducting fluctuations play a key role in the delocalization of in-gap BdG quasiparticles. Our real-space Hartree-Fock-BCS-Anderson simulations and renormalization group analysis with pairing fluctuations support quasiparticle localization and suggest that enhanced pairing fluctuations lead to delocalization of BdG quasiparticles and "weak localization" of phase-fluctuating Cooper pairs in quasi-two-dimensional disordered superconductors. The present study proposes that the 10-fold way classification scheme has to be generalized to take order-parameter fluctuations in actual quantum matter. Also, it shed light on how ac energy loss due to quasiparticles at Fermi level can be controlled in a quasi-2d superconductor with sufficient pairing fluctuation

Effects of Korean Red Ginseng on Hearing and Blood Glucose Levels in Steroid Therapy for Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss

ObjectivesKorean red ginseng (KRG) has hypoglycemic, antioxidant, antithrombotic, and other beneficial effects in human. The present study evaluate the therapeutic effects of KRG on hearing recovery and glucocorticoid-induced hyperglycemia in patients with idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) undergoing systemic steroid therapy.MethodsThe patients were divided into 2 groups: the steroid, and the combination of steroid and red ginseng. Pure tone averages (PTA) were assessed at the first visit and 2-month follow-up. All patients underwent fasting blood glucose analyses just before and on the fifth day of treatment. Both groups were treated with a 10-day course of oral methylprednisolone at tapering doses starting from a daily dose of 48 mg. To the combination group, KRG extract was administered by mouth at a daily dose of 3 g for 20 days in addition to methylprednisolone. Hearing gain was calculated comparing the initial PTA and PTA at 2 months' follow-up. Treatment responses were classified according to Siegel's criteria.ResultsPretreatment conditions were similar between the steroid (n=37) and combination groups (n=36). At 2 months after the treatment, PTA improved significantly in both groups, but there was no significant difference in the mean hearing gain & recovery rate. The non-diabetic subjects in the steroid group (n=27) exhibited a 24% increase in the mean blood glucose level during the systemic steroid therapy, while those in the combination group (n=34) showed no changes.ConclusionAlthough the KRG did not provide greater therapeutic effects on hearing recovery, we suggest that red ginseng can be a useful adjuvant to the current steroid therapy to normalize glucocorticoid-induced hyperglycemia in non-diabetic patients during the treatment of SSNHL
