    Non-contact method of part surface scanning

    Reverse engineering is now considered one of technologies for improving the quality of products and manufacturing equipment. It is a technology to provide business benefits in shortening the product development cycle. This paper shows that using two-dimensional laser CNC scanner with appropriate software can give acceptable results as more dimensional laser. Tool Digitalized Shape Editor of Software Catia V5R18 was applied for completing of scanning data at this experiment. These received data should be helpful and advantageous for using of 2D scanners. Ceramic coffee cup was used for the scanning to keep of author's hand writing

    Thermal effects on steels at flame cutting

    The submitted article describes the effects of a thermal separation of material on the properties of the surface layers. The separation of material is an integral part of a preparation of all final products. During cutting the surface layer of the separated material is effected, which then has an influence on the sequence of the following operations. The method of thermal separation of material was selected for the experiment described in the article a method of flame cutting. The material selected for the method was a common steel ČSN 411373, which is industrially produced and processed. The effect on the material was shown by measuring micro-hardness using the micro-hardness tester DM 2D

Do značné míry umožňuje odstranit nedostatky a nevýhody k tomuto účelu dosud používaných kotoučových a pásových pil, jako jsou deformace povrchu v místě řezu, rozměrné a finančně nákladné zařízení.Innovative solutions relates to the circular knife for cutting of flexible and elastic materials, namely materials which are prone to change shape upon removal from the clamping device and the surface quality of the cutting surfaces. To a considerable extent, it allows you to remove the shortcomings and disadvantages for this purpose hitherto used circular and band saws, such as surface deformation in the cutting or large and expensive equipment

    Effect of rheological parameters on curing rate during NBR injection molding

    In this work, non-isothermal injection molding process for NBR rubber mixture considering Isayev-Deng curing kinetic model, generalized Newtonian model with Carreau-WLF viscosity was modeled by using finite element method in order to understand the effect of volume flow rate, index of non-Newtonian behavior and relaxation time on the temperature profile and curing rate. It was found that for specific geometry and processing conditions, increase in relaxation time or in the index of non-Newtonian behavior increases the curing rate due to viscous dissipation taking place at the flow domain walls

    Fluidity of thermoplastics elastomers

    Polymer injection molding is the most used technology of polymer processing nowadays. It enables the manufacture offinal products, which do not require any further operations. Working of shaping cavities is the major problem involving not only the cavity of the mold itself, giving the shape and dimensions of the future product, but also the flow pathway (runners) leading the polymer melt to the separate cavities. The runner may be very complex and in most cases takes up to 40% volume of the product itself (shape cavity). This work gives the results of studying the influence of the quality of flow pathway surface and influences of other technological parameters on the polymer melt flow

Successful product development means developing a product of high quality, at lowest cost, in the shortest time, in at a reasonable price. The development of the part and its introduction to market is time consumption process. But "time is money" and therefore could be said that money saving is greatest when time to market is minimalized utmost. The main objective of this article is to give the basic introduction to this problematic and compare two different methods commonly used for prototype parts production.     Computational analyses are commonly used in technical industry to improve process. This paper show using computational analysis during injection molding process. Injection molding process is one of the most widespread technologies in polymer industry. There are plenty of differences between injection thermoplastic and elastomeric compound. The main aim of the paper is showing differences between types of runners on finally properties of rubber product. These received dates should be helpful for setting of injection machine and cycle in rubber injection molding process
