    Selecting a squeeze film damper model for solving problems of gas turbine engine rotor dynamics

    Various standard mathematical squeeze film damper (SFD) models that can be applied for solving rotor dynamics problems of gas turbine engines (GTE) are presently available. The accuracy of simulation is ultimately affected by the choice of a certain SFD formulation that depends on many factors geometry parameters, oil supply method, oil inlet pressure, operating conditions etc. The present contribution suggests some recommendations for selecting a particular mathematical SFD model and compares the simulation results obtained with different SFD formulations. To this end a point rotor system is numerically analyzed with the aid of the DYNAMICS R4 (www.alfatran.com) software

    Regenerative ability of grape cuttings under the influence of yeast suspension treatment

    The paper presents the growing experiment results on activating the regenerative ability of Moldova table variety grape cuttings by processing pressed baking yeast suspension. The present circumstance became the basis for conducting special studies to check cutting response to the treatment with baking yeast suspension, with the identification of drug optimal concentration. In spring, the two-eyed cuttings were completely soaked for 24 hours in water, and then they were placed with the basal ends in yeast suspension at various concentrations for the same time. Moreover, these yeast suspension concentrations were tested both in pure form and in combination with 3% sucrose. As a result of the conducted studies, it was revealed that pressed baking yeast suspension at certain concentration can have an activating effect on regenerative ability of grape cuttings. The use of yeast suspension together with sucrose solution increases their physiological activity. It was found that cuttings basal end soaking in yeast suspension at concentrations of 10-20 g/l, together with sucrose, contributed to rooting increased by 20-30%, the proportion of cuttings with three roots or more – by 22.5-30.0%, the number of roots by 13.5–16.2%. The best option was with a yeast suspension concentration of 20 g/l

    The paper focuses on the choice of mathematical models of squeeze film dampers and methods of their numerical implementations for gas turbine engine rotor dynamics problems. The present contribution is aimed at establishing criteria for the application of mathematical models of a squeeze film damper depending on the damper characteristics and operating conditions. The models are grouped by the dimension of the considered physical space, i.e. three-dimensional, two-dimensional and one-dimensional modeling patterns. The work presents principles of setting boundary conditions for mechanical seals to be adequately simulated. Criteria of assessing the necessity of taking into account such physical phenomena as turbulence, fluid inertia, and cavitation are presented. The proposed mathematical models are primarily developed for the computation of integral characteristics of squeeze film dampers, such as reaction forces and dynamic stiffness and damping coefficients required for solving rotor dynamics problems

    Целью работы является исследование уголовно-исполнительных отношений в сфере применения основных средств исправления к осужденным, отбывающим наказание в виде лишения свободы.Проводится анализ правовых основ реализации основных средств исправления осужденных, установленных уголовно-исполнительным законодательством России. Отмечается недостаток в правовом регулировании отдельных средств исправления, в числе которых общественное воздействие и воспитательная работа с осужденными. Данное обстоятельство является значительным препятствием на пути их реализации в практической деятельности, что отрицательно сказывается на формировании правопослушного поведения лиц, отбывающих лишение свободы, а также соблюдении прав. Высказывается ряд рекомендаций, направленных на совершенствование уголовно-исполнительной политики в данной сфере, в том числе на основе проведенного анализа правового обеспечения средств исправления осужденных по законодательству стран – участников Содружества Независимых ГосударствThe aim of the work is to study criminal-executive relations in the field of application of the basic means of correction to convicts serving a sentence of imprisonment. The analysis of the legal basis for the implementation of fixed assets for the correction of convicts established by the criminal executive legislation of Russia is carried out. There is a deficiency in the legal regulation of certain remedies, including social impact and educational work with prisoners. This circumstance is a significant obstacle to their implementation in practice, which negatively affects the formation of law-abiding behavior of persons serving a prison sentence, as well as the observance of rights.
